Good morning. Up sort of early to get a jump on the day. Off to the gym in a few then off to grocery shopping and to get a haircut. Somewhere in the day I will have the car washed and we need to get ready for the carpet cleaners tomorrow.

I've got a medication alarm also and I still find myself not taking my meds at the correct time . My SIL is talking about modifying my alarm notification to say " Don't forget to take your pills Dumbass"

In this changing world I get real tired of the over sensitivity (and other aberrations) being tolerated and even encouraged until they bend reality to something that suits them... and then the "empathetic" chastise stoics as though the realists are the odd ones. There are degrees of sensitivity that are appropriate and there are PETA sensitivities that are so extreme that they are foolish.

It was nobody's cat, it didn't harm a cat, even if someone had done what was proposed it wouldn't have harmed a cat, it was a mental image that any reasonable person could imagine in their mind, and imagining something funny doesn't harm animals. And for cripe sake... to anyone reasonable there is NOTHING to get upset about. Holy cow people... get a grip.

There are no jokes in the world that don't make fun of some kind of embarrassment, pain, or difficult circumstance. Prove me wrong.

If I strapped a piece of buttered toast to my daughter's back I wouldn't expect her to land on her feet... and that's why it wouldn't be funny. But it's mildly entertaining that you would use that kind of analogy and think it's relevant.

If anyone missed it, I posted a question that created a mental image I found funny. Sue me...

 

I've posted a few, but I'm not going to repost constantly and cover up the thread with a bunch of duplicates and images so similar that there isn't a distinction. As the project progresses I'll post significant milestones. Thanks for the interest.

 

Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Going to make some rain covers today. Ought to be entertaining.

 

sixtys/wannabes/pet lovers. SWMBO is getting her corneas smoothed in preparation for cataract surgery, which means she has one good eye for a while, which means I've been on chauffeur duty. A neighbor is doing cataracts as well so I can see this going on until some time in February!

I learned the rudiments of slide rule use in high school but electronic calculators were starting to proliferate at about the same time, and so I pretty much never picked one up again. My dad could use one though. I can't remember if I found this among his stuff or if I saw it at an auction and couldn't resist.

Yes he is !!

He also had his annual check up at the Vet yesterday and according to the Vet , for being 1.5 years old and weighing 15.5lbs he's very healthy

Great looking cat Chuck. And Gunny is the perfect name for a Marines cat.I can tell he’s got you twisted around his little paw. They just kind of move in and take over.
