Alright, so I think I need a new outer Tie rod on the drivers side. Kicking the tire shows very slight wobble vs the passenger side which has a nice used known good TRE from Tate on it. The boot also looks questionable. I'm getting vibes from the front left on the highway and don't wanna go 'kachow' at 70mph. Tell me why I shouldn't get heims? PRG's set isn't much more than a couple vatozone or even Toyota OEM replacement ends. Only thing I can think of is they aren't sealed so they'd require a little more maintenance after wheeling/winter.

Hmm... Can't seem to checkout or get ahold of PRG via phone. Internet says their customer service is terrible to boot. How do companies like this stay in business?

Welp, LT thread says not to go Heim unless you run a double shear setup, so scratch that. Maybe I'll do the double shear one day, but I need TREs now, so I pulled them up at Adam's Toyota and they are on sale, $106 for the pair and done.

Heims and winter probably arent gonna mix well.
There are covers that are available ive seen but heims and uniballs are something i generally will tell people to avoid on a DD around here. But hey, fuck it, if its worth doing it worth going OBAF.

I've heard if you oil them before you start your truck, they're fine.

ran uni ball uppers on my grey truck for years with zero issues. just had to keep them clean and oil them which was a pain but overall they were great.

valid point if you want the set it and forget it then uniballs or even any higher end shock wont be something you want on a daily since maintenance or rebuilds. buuuuut ill most likely do it again lmao
