Well worth it tho a bit cost prohibitive for most. Figure it will cost 2.5 times fiberglass insulation.
If you only plan to use it sometimes then no reason to insulate at all. Just blast heat or ac when you need it.

Same, I remember it being crazy when they had an electronic version of this.

I have never gamed online so I have no experience at all there.

After two and a half years of visiting/living in New Haven, finally checked out this Mohegan Sun place that I've been seeing billboards for since we moved my gf here in 2021. Pretty great spot honestly--significantly cleaner than any other casinos I've been to (Reno, LV) and super affordable, free parking and draft beer was like $12. People were walking around with huge boxes of donuts, couldn't quite figure that out but seems cool. The layout of the place is a little big and confusing, but they appear to have strategically placed all of the parking garages away from each other so that when the place empties out it's not a complete traffic jam. Getting to know you a little better every day Connecticut, nice to see something other than the Metro-North corridor for a change ....

We go up there once in a while. The Mrs likes going to play slots. She's not a "gambler" and doesn't like tables, but likes playing slots. They also have some good restaurants and a good kids arcade area. We went up there as a family back in the summer: myself, wife, two kids, parents and in-laws to celebrate the in-laws's 50th wedding anniversary.

Ate dinner, then they all went off and gambled a bit and I hung out with the kids at the arcade for a few hours. Everyone had a great time.

Definitely a nice, clean and friendly place. At least in my opinion.

I'm more of a Foxwoods vs Mohegan person if just going to do some gambling in CT. That said, I love catching concerts at both (@scofflaw who did you see in the pic?).

That said Foxwoods is about 1.5 hours from me and Mohegan about 2 hrs. Not that I mind driving to do something I want to.

I haven't heard of Foxwoods or maybe I blurred it together with Mohegan in my mind, though I see now that they're different. I've never gambled, but the arena was nice, comfortable and well laid out. Lot of people with donuts milling around after the show. Mohegan to me was confusing I kept thinking it was a place called "Meghan" but of course that makes no sense. And I still don't know how to pronounce Uncasville, but maybe I'll get lucky and overhear someone say it.

I saw Dave (Matthews), and only because I found a fairly inexpensive ticket (usually see him in outdoor venues). It was literally the last row of the nosebleeds but it's such a small arena it still felt great and intimate. Couldn't have been more than 10-12K people there.

Youll see the donuts all over because Mohegan Sun houses the only Krispy Kreme donuts in Connecticut/New England. I have been to the casino plenty of times and I still get lost often. To make it easy on myself I just always make sure to park in the same lot so that at least when I walk in I know where I am every time.

And for pronunciation, I would say "unk-us-ville", but that is just me personally and what I believe I have heard others say. Glad you had a good time! Last time I went was for a work trade show where I got paid to show up, then played some craps and walked out with an extra $80.

I havent been to the casinos in quite some time - had a gf at the time who loved going so I always just tagged along. Last time I was there I saw Hall & Oates. I will say from what I remember years ago the bingo at Foxwoods was awesome...No it wasnt all old ppl lol. Plenty of younger people as well and boy is it the real deal. But spending 40-80 bucks for a solid 4-5 hours of "gambling" seemed a better use of money than sitting down at a table or slot and pissing it away in 20 minutes.

Ah, thank you! That explains it. I saw the Krispy Kreme on the way out and there was a wildly long line at 11:30 pm on a Tuesday, I couldn't figure it out. That's really satisfying to finally understand. They (KKs) are all over the place in Northern California.

Krispy Kreme actually makes the donuts there--worth watching how glazed donuts are made.
Mohegan is laid out like a race track--large oval shape. In the center is Wolf Den-free live music. On the outside of the oval are the restaurants/Arena. Inside the oval --gambling--no minors.
Mashantucket casino is 15 minutes away. In the sticks, but there are always cars going back and forth cuz the gambling is always better at the other casino.

I'm old enough to recall Foxwoods debuting, Mohegan came several years later so I tend to think of them separate plus that I'll hit Foxwoods first from my house driving. Never seem to have luck at Mohegan, plus I like the poker room at Foxwoods.

I forget the exact number but it is 10,000 for a full house there. Seen quite a few shows there like Kid Rock, the final Black Sabbath tour..I've sat at the back in the top row (so yes furthest you can get) and still had a great view.

When Foxwoods opened my girlfriend was not 21 so the bingo was a good way to spend time with her there, plus as you said the money goes less quickly for sure. Seen all ages each time I've done that.

What's up fellas been a while! Question for the group; I have the opportunity to buy a 2018/19? AC TRD OFF ROAD from my mother in law with 30K on it and I'm not sure if I should buy it and sell my 2016 dbcsb with 110k on it or help sell it for her. I love my inferno truck and there isn't anything wrong with it but a similar truck money wise with 80k less and a smaller cab(kids are old enough to drive themselves now) sounds nice just dont know if I could get used to red, thoughts?
