A shame very very kids are like that these days.

When I was young I went to every neighbor looking to see if they had work.

Since I lived here part time 1989 kinda just the 1 neighbor kid asked a few times weather delays or he never showed up. Never say him all summer and he is taking welding. I would have needed to be told to go home.

 

It only pulls 3.5 amps but is geared like a tractor - 500 rpm with your choice of on or off, no variable speed.

I'm very cautious when I use it, it doesn't stall and that 6" hole saw has a good, wrist breaking bite.

 

Well fellers, after dreading going in the crawlspace (for years actually) it turns out to be a non-issue...

I won't fit.

For planning purposes I tried to slither myself in there and barely got as far as my upper chest - shoulders and ribs against wood and rock.

It looks like I'm not getting my hole saw back...

 

What about a long rod with a Magnet .

I have fished many a tool with one.

We finally got a bit of rain here in AZ. Making some pancakes for breakfast.

 

It is diagonally across the crawlspace from the entrance, the farthest point possible.
Due to the rock piles, etc you can't get any kind of straight shot.

However - I'm working on "Plan B" -- it's personal now...
