Wow, for $675 I would be all over it if it wasn't for #carb

It's a way better product over Doug thorley, jba, etc being thats its EL and LT.

Uh oh. Let us know how this turns out. It rarely goes perfect the first time you start it up, so you're not alone. I'm sure you'll figure it out soon.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Seems like it may be software related. I swapped back to my original ECU from the TRD flashed one and loaded the Bully Dog software and was able to start it up. It may just have been running the software rather than completely reflashing the ECU as it stopped working after I unpluged the unit (and did a few other things). Now charging the battery a little as the unit is complaining about low charge and will try another software update.

    • Will not fit trucks with air injection (2012+ Tacoma V6, 2013+ 4Runner, FJ Cruiser)
So you have to remove the SAIS and install the block offs as well for a 2.5 gen Tacoma.

I wonder what changed for them? Like I thought they stopped making the EL headers due to epa issues or was it something else does anyone know?

its about $100 more than its previous list price but isnt too bad honestly. for example on my new truck i found a old magazine from my middle school days with an ad for a 409 stainless turboback for $400, now its $700-$785. silly

its just a theory but since the epa reprioritized its focus to things like pfas, air toxics (from industry), drinking water contamination, and chemical accidents (not caused by them) so no more cars and trucks are bad main focus, so theyll be a bit less litigious which is good for us car peoples but how much we dont know.

Anyone have their intake ran through the cowl? Ive been rocking this for a while and love it for offroading, going to keep the stock airbox (as much as I dont want to hide the 6000$ trd logo on the blower) its just better for my situation right now. Im sure im robbing myself a few ponies as well. Im wondering how It will pair with the blower.

On the other hand the sound will probably be pretty cool as It already sounds like a CAI with the cowl snorkel.0523232100a_HDR.jpg

Can someone confirm something for me...the new front core support bracket has some kinks and bends in it, came from my buddies truck...is it supposed to be dead straight? 1118231238a.jpg

It fits perfectly like that but his truck also went down in a ditch so I don't know if it got bent
