Samuels died yesterday.

He was my buddy boy he was such a boy.

Goddamn it I can't find a picture of him. Fuck.

Dammit.

 

I'm very sorry for your loss. Its one of the hardest things I personally have gone through. Even tougher than losing my mom this year, as she wanted to go and knew it was her time.
Our furry kids do not, and I cant think of anything more heart wrenching.

So sorry to her about Samuels!!!! It just sucks having to say goodbye to them and it seems like it hurts more and more with each one. Hang in there. You’re definitely in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences, he looks like he was quite the good boy.

 

Thank you all for your kind words. Samuels was fine on Tuesday morning, then clearly in distress that afternoon. We took him to the doc first thing Wednesday morning, and they said his kidneys had failed and that he wouldn't last another 24 hours without aggressive treatment. We took him to the best animal hospital in Houston and they did everything they could, but there was no way he could recover from the damage that was done. Turns out it was caused by a urinary tract infection that had traveled to his kidneys. No idea how it happened so quickly.

 

Sorry for your loss and the shock of losing one so quickly. He was certainly a handsome fella and the long straight up tail reminded me of Squeak. She always walked around like that, announcing her royal entrance.

Time will help, but I still look for her now and then to come walking around the corner in her typical grand entrance fashion.

 

Can’t like, I can only commiserate with you and your loss. Samuels sounds like an awesome buddy. Maybe you can share a good memory or story about Samuels if you think that is appropriate. I always like to hear a great or quirky story about a beloved companion.

 

It's hard to lose a pet. Their family..enough said.
