Sears wasn't intentionally selling goods at a huge loss just to drive traffic to their website

Amazon's business model does not fit into the same mold as these old brick and mortar companies. It's a different beast. The more cheap and convenient things get, the more skeptical I get.

Their delivery vans literally say "happiness inside". Who's happiness? The driver? The people at the warehouse getting their piss breaks timed with a stopwatch?

GTFO of here with that shit, it's creepy af..

i think the truth is a little between the two. where we stand, Amazon is a significant unstoppable force. but 1960-1980 sears was as well. things change, nothing is ever forever.

    I have been to one!
A shooting buddy, has a father that owns a farm in Northern MO and it came with a Sears house, it is defiantly showing it's age, but works while they build a new home,,,,,, that has been through over a year of delays and setbacks.

Ah, so cool. I was thinking it was a desk in a big industrial room, but now I see it for what it is. But…is it an RC10?

I gotta say, element RC really puts a lot of effort into the cardboard box.

Yes it is. There are a few Easter eggs on that background.

So I was trying to describe my Tesla buying experience to my wack-a-doodle brother in law. I told him it was like going on Amazon, a few clicks and the car was ordered. If the process is as simple as Tesla I'd buy a car from Amazon. What I will NEVER do again is darken the door of a stealership.

All this hate for Big A has always cracked me up. They sell things. People buy them. They make money. They use that money to expand the business to sell more things that people buy.

Maybe Big A ain't the problem. lol

My Cousins who lived in South Pasadena had a Sears Kit house (Glendon Ct.) I remember the upstairs floors really creaked! Cool house otherwise. 2 Story

I would rather go there then any dealership I've been to. Even the parts counter sucks. Why is it that no matter where you go, the check in people at the service department and parts counter people just seem like they hate their lives, and despise talking to customers.

I hate that they changed up their customer service from "no questions asked" to "mild pain in the ass." I also hate that they increased the cost of Prime by a fair amount. And I also hate that it's hard to search for stuff that the seller didn't pay to place at the top of the page... And that the sponsored stuff that's at the top of the first 5 pages is cheap counterfeit shit, is becoming the norm.

However, all that's going to do is cause me to buy less shit. And I'm ok with that. My bank account thanks you when you make it less convenient.
