On account there's few people in the state and only a fraction of that have internet.

Sadly Craigslist is dying. Facebook is taking over with market place and local community pages.

As in, in other states they have a forum where they post good deals around the area. I guess it just goes back to your “ just get a facebook” lol

I grabbed my operation moab shirt today. Looked at the date: 2012. What a lifetime ago that was.

I had a friend point out that it's kinda funny how my truck has resembled my life. I was like "how do you figure?"
"Well, it was stock and it grew and it grew, now it's almost back to square one and a bit broken. Pretty much describes your situation don't it?"

Shit that's...weirdly accurate. But it's not broken. Just starting over ;)

    I like that.

I was actually thinking about you and your truck the other day as well, in a slightly different light.

I always say that our trucks are more capable than their drivers. Usually this comes up in the context of someone who's get getting into building out their Tacoma, and they're wondering what they should spend their money on. Usually they have a bunch of mods they want to do, "before they get out on the trail." My guidance is always to go out with their current setup (assuming a full size spare) and see how it does. It is more capable than you are, I repeat for them several times. Then, after going out a few times, they'll know what will best suit their method of travel/adventure, and they'll gain experience and capabilities. Usually, they won't outpace the truck, but they'll make (useful to them) mods anyway, increasing the trucks capabilities even more, and keeping the capabilities of the truck ahead of their own (as a driver). Thus, my point is proved - our trucks are always more capable than their drivers.

But damn if you haven't broken the pattern in this case. Will be fun to see you out in the little green truck, and then see it grow again.

It's, a bit broken. Like if someone was to drive it I would have to give them some tips. Like the parking brake doesn't work. You can't just mash the gas, gotta tip into it. It steers further right than left. That clunk from the rear suspension, just ignore it, idk what it is either. The ac doesn't work. If it doesn't start, put some water on the positive cable. The tailgate doesn't close, gotta hold the handle and push it into place to latch. The registration is expired and their aren't license plate lights. Oh and there's a weird whining noise from the engine ;)

The truck is still more capable than me ;) I just know how to say no to things better now than before.

Are you? Some of us have wheeled on the "inferior" Napa axles and 35s and not had issues :boink:

Front locker is brutal on IFS anything, it's the only reason I bet Toyota would never offer one from factory anymore.

To be fair you haven't pushed your truck once really in terms of challenging terrain in a long time. And I doubt since you got the 35s. Or at least nothing I've seen you do is super technical wheeling. hell I don't even think I ever did anything super technical with Frank on 35s either for that matter.
