I recently bought a cheap, heavy duty headache rack from a toyota pickup owner on craigslist for about $70. I needed a headache rack because of all the work I do with my truck, but didn't want to spend $300+ for a new one. The problem with this headache rack though, is that it is slightly too small for my bed and it covered the brake light on the cab. Soooo, using scrap 2" metal from an old iron fence, a grinder, and a few 6" bolts, I hightened the rack by 4". Total cost was about $10 for the nuts and bolts, and black spray paint.

I know it looks pretty ghetto, but for $10 I'm happy. I probably could have done a much better job if I knew how to weld... which unfortunately I don't, but thankfully, it is very solid! I'm not quite done, but here it is so far:

Took some time cutting through the iron lol. :D I think I need to upgrade my tools...
