I had found this a while back and wanted to post it for the collector sleuths who might be interested.

I agree. More activity, with the same or less calorie intake. Its math

Essentially, true. However, people (Including me) get lost in how to start and wanting to overachieve… missing the point/purpose. Food is a choice. You can eat what you wish, but consider better choices. Perhaps substitute the veggies instead of the mashed potatoes. Or have a smaller portion of the steak with more sides. Think more about the choice. Carbs, sugars, and fats are what you are looking to reduce in whatever proportions you can accept. Denial will only cause binge which is defeatist.

Excersise is the same way. Everyone (including me) has this idea of working out like a bodybuilder or running marathons (I ran cross country and 5/10K races as a teen), when that’s simply unrealistic and unnecessary for many. The reality is that understanding what you need to do is easier to implement than those things. Doing more than you already do in more beneficial ways is much like those food choices.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Lets not forget Roadkill a large part of my cooler weather

Carbs are cheap Food Budget is about a $100.00 a month being serious.

$1000.00 a month is a little hard to handle . After being debt free for 35 years.

Yikes  I hope no homes were involved..

One of my fears because my neighborhood abuts 1000s of acres of forest. People don’t think forest fires can happen here because were not in drought but Canada proved that theory wrong.

On a happier note, it’s Thanksgiving week :oldglory:. I hope everyone has a short work week if employed. If retired, I hope you remember it’s Thanksgiving week :D

And as always, good morning everyone :hattip:

That smoke actually made it far North into my area. Stepped outside at work and could see/smell it. Was quite the sight.

The Turkey is thawing out. It will get brined Tuesday and smoked Wednesday. I'm also going to attempt pork ribs again, thanks to those who helped teach me!

We've been battling several fires in WNC the newest and biggest has burned 1700 acres and is 0% contained and has closed the Appalachian Trail along with I-40 to TN.
Maybe help is on the way rain supposed to start tonight.

I drove thru there yesterday, can confirm. I was sorry I was driving. The pictures of the smoke I could have taken, would have been notable.

That's right Kirk you made your way south this weekend.
Hey keep a open dialogue with me. If it works out maybe we can meet up at the Biltmore estate.

Well you did come down into TN and across 40 thru the gorge then into the famous malfunction junction.

But taking that route is so appealing, so much to see.

Ya know I stopped going down saluda and across 74 to clt. and go out 40 east to 321 into clt. much easier ride but it is 20 miles further.

Does that route avoid those 18 stop lights in Shelby? That town is the biggest pain in the ass for the entire ride!
