    Final Bench Build Update:
It is finished and pic is below.
So far in 2023, my worst idea was to make bench legs look like table legs. The reason for no leg pics is, up until a few nights ago, I was just going to forget it and buy two black metal legs. I think I built five legs and took apart three of them. I always screw no glue for test and man, they were crazy twisted and bowed. Lumber was old and dry too!
The two that are on there are nothing to write home about but at least from 10 feet they look okay. Bench also has a sllliiiiigggghhht twist so I had to shim one leg a tiny bit. Anyway, here it is, the bench and table build finally together.
Last coat of polyurethane right after application. I love it when it looks like that.

It’s super dry. That fire started Saturday and already close to 800 acres.

Since I got the week off I went to start bush hogging the farm in NC we hunt.

    On the way…

    upload_2023-11-20_20-47-49.jpg

Less than an hour in I noticed dirt tilled up in the previous path. Figured out why, busted the center. With no spare and not wanting to stop, I carried on for 7 more hours. I have about 4 more to go then a year to fix it :D

    upload_2023-11-20_20-49-4.jpg

This hawk landed in a tree looking for mice. I got under it and tried to make it fly off for a video, it wouldn’t budge.

My powder coat buddy ask if I wanted some white oak logs for firewood, I said yeah I’ll be around Monday with the gooseneck. He said unhook it and take his dump trailer home. So I did, I’ll take it back when I go to finish bush hogging and bring my tractor and trailer back. Smallest one is about 18” across.

    Any idea how it started?

Fires dry conditions and wind not a good mix.

I forget most of you know these things.

Changing gears I am almost afraid of talking to people I know. I am the type of person that will not see some one for years. I just thing nothing of asking How is your Mom your kids what ever.

I have had a few the answers were rather not Good. Is this only me. Holidays are bad enough without me upsetting them more.

Happy Thanksgiving to those that choose to celebrate .

Nothing like a local Truck driver you know for directions.

Always ask you did not drive a Flatbed did you? Those 12.8' Low Bridge Signs Are really hard to miss.

Those circles can be rough if you miss your exit you need to go around again.

    Hey

Someone today left the brakes released on a semi behind mine. It rolled into mine and I'm kinda on the hook for it as I was the only one who was in either truck at the time amd had to do the piss test. Had some bickering/in-fighting after that from the guy that left the brakes released.

Kind of a rough day today:frusty:

It was a good trip. Yep I'm not able to now load and unload trucks and trailers with a forklift or wheel loader :)

Might go Florida in January for a week! Our largest location in the world is needing help setting up for their next big sale.

    ...several hours later...

I'm finally done under the kitchen sink :)...
    ... for the day... :pout:

The heat plenum box turned into more work than I expected (big surprise there... ) but actually looks pretty decent compared to the usual "done is better than perfect" hack crap I usually turn out. :burp:

Two new circuits ran as well, one to use and a spare.
Plenty of work for another day.:ballchain:
