Hammerheads, like most finned friends, feed primarily at dawn and dusk.

But still..... Those teeth are so sharp....

Well, it was probably around 9am when that monster came creeping out from under the bridge with my jack in its mouth. It took me a minute to figure out WTF I was even looking at. The most annoying part was that it looked like it would have been the biggest jack I have landed so far. Which, I haven't really caught any big ones by any means. But, it was disappointing nonetheless.

Looking good! Nice project to help your kids get some serious time laying beads. Glad to see at least one of them is wearing gloves!

@pearing did you order lights yet? Hotshot sale on Diode Dynamics is live, Baja Designs will run 11/24-11/27. Just trying to help, I'm not spending nearly what you will but finally time for some lights on my truck as well. Who'dve thunk LEDs are so damn expensive?!

Nice! I just pulled the trigger on SS3 Max fogs in amber with backlight. Been waiting for like 3 years to get them, now it's time. May be adding some Squadrons for rear bumper lights and if I'm not completely broke after all that might add something like an SS1 for a high mount chase light. Seems like a good year for sales on lights so why not lol.

Quick update: My buddy got a 5 pointer tonight.
I was sitting in a ground blind when I heard leaves crunching........
Saw some movement shortly after when a black blob emerged from the woods.
A fucking bear came out about 5-10yds away.
He looked over at the blind while I hoped he just kept on a movin'.
If that doesn't make you almost soil your shorts then idk what will.

Sorry I have no pics as my grip was occupied by my rifle.

    It needs matching scratches.
Bring the 4Runner out to my house. I have a trail out to my deer blind.
It's wide enough for my 4wheeler.

At that range I'd a had that rifle shouldered, ya know, just in case...

Fun fact. Back in the '70's you could legally take a bear with your buck tag, the cool metal ones, but you were then done hunting. Couldn't legally hunt deer anymore.

I didn't. I've been a pretty good boy lately, getting finances in a little better place before retirement.

And sleeves. Unlike the sun, with welding, by the time you realize you're getting burned, you're really fried!
