I don't lift heavy anymore on chest. I rarely do straight bar bench or incline. Too much strain on my shoulders. When I do,

    Flat Bench:
    1st set - 20 x 135lbs
    2nd set - 12 - x 185lbs
    3rd set - 6 x 225lbs
    4th set - 4 - 6 x 225lbs
    5th set - to failure with 135lbs... usually 15 -20 reps

    Incline Bench:
    1st set 15 x 135lbs
    2nd set 8 x 185lbs
    3rd set 8 x 185lbs
    4th set 8 x 185lbs

Mostly dumbbell and machine work for me with chest workouts.

    Happy Thanksgiving Pond Princess.

Fair warning Next Week pick a day for Breakfast and Measuring for the new sign.

In my wild and crazy days when I did some minor weight training My Working out Bench Press was 450 pounds for reps dead lift 500 pounds . Mom has no clue how the weights never ended up through the kitchen into the basement. Negatives are harder two spotters are better 115 is not bad real close to body weight I would think.

We had a Hermans Sporting goods store when I was there I would move the 700 pound Olympic weight set till they bolted it to the floor
