In their defense (Tree House), they have streamlined the process a lot that you're not really waiting in line like you used to.

sure was fun to sign onto the forum today and see 5 notifications of "your post has been quoted". It's so easy to rile people up over Treehouse!

There are two which I would go to. One in Meriden called "The Sanctum". Open only on Mondays from 7pm-midnight. $20 gets you in the door for unlimited play on like 30-40 machines, plus a knock out tournament every monday you can join for an extra $1. The 2nd place is in Palmer, MA and they are open on Fridays only. I have not been there in a while so I am unsure of the current entry price. I am down for a CT Tacoma meet up at the Sanctum some time! BYOB both places. Can't beat it

Beer hates me these days, so I stick to spirits or ciders/seltzers. When I do treat myself to a beer though I will go for Fat Orange Cat or Evil Twin usually. But I would have it all, even Treehouse of which there are a few in my fridge right now. My cousin was just up from NJ and he went hog wild at Treehouse buying cases and cases

I have one machine right now and I would like another, but I am so limited on space being that my house is a raised ranch and the basement is tiny. Our family friend in Guilford restores machines and he has like 14 currently in his basement. My wife bought me the Wipeout machine off of him since I really liked it.

Oh they definitely have! I went twice back in 2022 with some friends since we were passing by on the way to Boston or Southern NH and it was nice being able to just walk in and grab a pint or a few cans. I never went back in the day but I always heard of people waiting for a long time and I just could not see the point of that.

    Sweet combo there.

I would kill for some of the old games from my youth as well, Donkey Kong is a must.

    Nice machine man.

I'd be up for a trip to either of those places despite it being a haul to get some gaming/flipping time in my system. Palmer is 1:45 and Meriden 2:20 from my door, but IDC. I make at least one trip a year to Funspot in Laconia just to play for a few hours. I still play at home with my old consoles though time doesn't exist as freely as it used to for that.

Oh and I'll get all of y'all mad about beer. I don't touch the shit.

Came home from work yesterday. Watched a little bit of TV and bed. So of course I'm up stupid early.
Took some DayQuil. It must be working because I feel a lot better.

I'm taking Friday off. I have a 4 day weekend. :yay:

On a side note. Why is it raining? It's not Saturday.

Okay, I'm going to both agree with you and disagree with you. Since I only live about 25 minutes from tree house in Charlton, I don't go there all the time But I do go when I can.

In their humble beginnings, when they were in Monson MA, literally just brewing out of a building smaller than a house, yes there was this huge line where people waited in line for 2 to 3 hours just for a chance to get one or two cans. At this time, all of my friends were like "oh my God it is so good, you have to go!" and at that time, I was not having it. Then I got to try one of their beers, the first version of Sapp..... And it tasted like liquid pine needles. I could not understand why people loved it so much. Then years passed by, they start developing new beers, and all of my friends were still Treehouse junkies. They traded amongst Themselves, and still had "mules" (What they called people to stand in line to be able to get whatever they could to fulfill the beer can limits) just so they could fill up their fridges. I still didn't go.

Then, one day, my friend Dave bought me a "Single Shot" Stout. I am a stout guy and it was okay but nothing to absolutely write home about. Then he bought me a "Christmas morning" stout, And it was like absolutely nothing I have ever had in my life. I then decided to give it a try and go back to try some of their other beers. I agree, that not all of their beers are absolutely fantastic. But you do have to agree, that there are a number of their beers that are almost the pinnacle of what a beer should actually taste like. When I go there, I only purchase what I know I like, and unfortunately, because those specific beers that I purchase are so good to me, I have trouble trying any other type of beer from any other type of brewery because I find that whenever I have that beer, my taste buds automatically think that it is "treehouse" and my brain goes "yeah, it's good, but it's not treehouse."

I do think that the overall aspect of this is, they don't need to advertise, the taste of their beer actually speaks for itself. They don't need to be in any type of restaurants to spread the word around about their specific beers. That is one of the main reasons why a lot of breweries make kegs and put them into restaurants or bars so that it can spread the word about the specific taste of their specific beer is. Treehouse doesn't need to do this.

I also want to add that going to one of their breweries is also an event, a family friendly place that people can go and relax. It is not a stuffy little hole in the wall bar, but a place where people can sit around, play games, be outside, enjoy life and good drink. Yes, people do get to "rage-ful" if you do talk bad about that brewery sometimes but it is also like when a person talks bad about their specific sports team that another person loves.

On another note, the lines are never that long now, whenever I have purchased any type of beer there, I never waited more than 2 to 3 minutes after I had purchased my order to pick it up, even on a very busy Saturday. I purchase it online, I go and get in line with only 2 to 3 people ahead of me, and then I show them my slip, they get the beer ready and I leave. If I stay there for a "pour" , I might wait maybe five minutes but how is that any different from any other bar out there.
