Its hard to keep straight for some of them like this one who do both wood working and welding: no sleeves in the wood shop and you better be wearing sleeves in the welding shop. We have welding coats but not many use them... I am sure the parents appreciate the holes in everything.

I know some guys that would hire you to buff out scratches on their trucks. With this crew you'd stay busy most of the year.

The wife does not approve of the damage to my truck... Might really be a driver issue that could use a little more magic.

Might need to take @Stoney Ranger on an Arkansas run and revisit my youth. Maybe if I become one (Ent) they will leave me be...

I'm not super familiar with those guys, but "Fat lip" is a kick ass song! Some friends and I covered it at a party a few years ago.

State of the Taco: a little over a week into the flatbed conversion. Fussy stuff starts now. Lights are amazing, unfortunately, the backup lights need to be shimmed such that they point down in a more usable way. Bright as frick though! Wood has been machined to size. Going to have the kids run it and make TG boards. Will finish with Durevar-should be stunning. Kids voted for flat black on the color. Amazing gain in approach angle! Oh, and currently weighs in at 5120lbs.

I am unnaturally attracted to your taco, Pat...take that how you will.

Seriously though, nice work to you and the kids! Impressive stuff.

That looks excellent! I really like the detail on the fender flares. Looks like there is plenty of space in the back (between the bumper and the bottom of the bed) to box out the area for closed storage too. I think you just got yourself years of tinkering material with this project lol.

Compliments to the students on the work!

I am planning a boxed in area in front and behind the spare tire. There also will be two storage bins in the triangular areas behind the tires. I don't know yet, but, seems like I will have more storage than I had with the factory bed and the platform.
