Boy i can tell that there are allot of purchasers of my product that are not TW members. The members on here are far better to deal with then the general public. I would really like to write in my Ebay add the acronym RTFM. (Read The Fucking Manual)

For the guys whom have recently ordered, i was out of my original boxes for shipping, and used simple envelopes, apparently the USPS sucks, because i have had some complaints on packaging. The shipping boxes are on order and will be here next week, i apologize in advance if anybody gets a defective unit due to shipping. I only shipped a few in envelops, i was so far behind after vacation, i had to due something. Obviously i should have waited. Its too bad ebay does not let you put a pause on the auction while on vacation. Anyway, i will make it all good either way.
    Cheers,
    S

Is it possible to pull the green wire and the green wire with the white stripe out of the harness? I really don't want to cut into those two wires if I do not have to since the harness is so close.

If I can pull these two wires from the harness, what is the best way to put the four wires back in. Should I get a couple of pins to solder the wires to? What do you think?

    Thanks for making these!

If you pull the wires from the harness, you AC controls will not light up. The 4x4 switch has to be in parallel with those two wires.

^^^ Yeah cause even though I made my own, I love it everytime I look at it. Had a pretty good winter here and was nice to see the switch when I needed it. Although I enjoyed the project, in the end it would have been easier to purchase yours. It was time consuming and expensive. But I was inpatient as you were still in the design stage. You planted the idea, that's why I am your biggest promoter. Thanks as always and I am still trying to get my B-I-L and neighbor into buying. Cheap Bastards :D

I got mine and installed it when i replaced the factory head unit. It all works great except one of the led's flickers real bad. The other LED's are fine its just the one under my L4. What kind of LED's are they since i may need to try and replace it? Also i forgot what the switching action was like before, is there supposed to be kind of a click between H2-H4, cause she's smooth as butter now!

I can send you an LED, yes the switch should click between all positions. There is small bearing in there that causes the switch detent. Here is my thought, the bearing fell out during normal operation and may now be shorting out the 4L led momentarily. Either way, once you figure that out and you still need an LED, just PM me with your mailing address and i will send you off one or two what ever it takes.
    Thanks,
    Shannon

Yeah Tan, you are probably right.
That is a good thought too, i may be able to set up a $5-$10 dollar off for our servicemen. I'll look into that.

The two factory wires will be put back into the AC harness. What I was going to do is pull the two factory wires and pins out, solder the new wires to the factory wires/ pins and then just pop the wires/ pins back in. Will use two new pins if needed. In the end you will see two wires coming from those two holes in the harness.

I know you said in your writeup that the Molex pins you provided can be easily removed if needed, so is this true for other pins?

Tell me if I have completely lost it of if this will work. Don't mind if it takes a little longer, just want it to look like it came from the factory.

Hey Shannon I have a quick question. I just sold my '06 and bought an '08. I took your mod parts out so that I could install in my new rig, and after I removed them from the '06 the 4L red indicator light started flashing. The 4WD system worked fine, but the dash light wouldn't disengage...any ideas? I didn't look like any wiring was touching other contacts, etc., so not sure why it tripped the light. Thanks

Humm, that is interesting, the only thing i would say is either the 4L resistor or LED has a broke solder joint. I know if the board is stressed at all the the ceramic resistors can break. Check those things. I see you are local, so if you can't get it figured out, we can hook up and take a look at it.

I've traded it already so no worries. I'm sure they will get it figured out! I'm going to re-install into my '08 so I'll give you a ring if there are any issues with that. Still love that mod every time I drive when it's dark!
