    I dig it
I like the little bikes for what they are. I just don't have any want or need for high HP, heavy bikes.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
For me, it’s all about the riding position. The motor is blah in comparison to my 890, but then again I wanted a lighter adv bike so that when people went out with me, they could get a taste for a bike that had better road manners than dual sports do.
It covers bases that the dual sport doesn’t IMO.

I'm really excited to see the CFMoto MT450. If it proves reliable(and we even get it here), that may be my "unicorn" bike. Lighter, over 40HP, tubeless spokes........perfect for me :D

The heavy bikes are great when you’re putting on miles on the road. They soak up the bumps and vibes better. Being larger displacement, there is less shifting about as they can pull at low rpms.
The most important thing on any bike is not to feel intimidating by it…or if ya got to, sometimes you got to drop it.

I am a big guy so it’s much easier for me to stomp my foot and get something squirrelly back on track. I do remember that moment, that I had to accept that the big bike was going to get dropped Offroad and there was no way around it. Just part of progressing offroad on a big bike.

They all have their weaknesses and strengths.

If I ate up a lot of road miles, I would definitely want at least a 750 class bike. Right now, I'm happy as a pig in shit cruising at 60 and below on backroads :D

I am waiting to see if they drop the price or add any incentives on the Husky 701 I showed you guys awhile back.

I have owned one in the past in the enduro flavor. I would love to get a SM version, but I feel I would get more use out of the enduro.

I hope it does come here. We already have the 450 sportbike version and I believe the 450NK too. I have 3 dealers within a short distance, so getting parts shouldn't be an issue.....or so I think

I really want to get on a KOVE 450 rally. I hear they are a lot of bang for the buck. Most comments that a negative point to a firmer suspension than they are used to.

IMO suspension is just one of those things that some of us have to deal with. Being 6’3 265lb. I have to mess with the suspension on all of them, except the bigger ADV bikes.
But even then some tweaking is needed.

Will shops not let you ride them? The dealers here will as long as you have insurance and license.
I have been watching the Kove too. The low version has peaked my interest. The huge drawback for me is dealer network.

    @Calamity_taco
Regarding money. It’s best to try and achieve multiple streams of income. You would be amazed at what a side gig can do for you.
So my background is graphics for TV. Mainly animation and VFX for film. While I was an Art Director for Turner Entertainment, I also had a small landscape company based in metro ATL. I focused on yard maintenance specifically. Started with a couple yards, then a couple days a week.
Not I have 1 guy that goes out in the truck and he makes about $500-500 a day roughly for the company. He gets paid $25hr for a 6hr day.

You see where I am going here…a positive cash flow no matter the size helps. The landscape biz is automated basically. He knows his schedule, and I don’t have to be involved. I just ensure the truck and equipment stay up to par, and he shows up to cut grass.

I don’t even live in that city anymore, just have a biz there. I am starting up another landscape biz in the area I live in now. I am working with a person to part time, to get the same thing going again.

I have also thought about an auto detailing biz. In the small town I live in, there is room for service work where others drop the ball.

I hear ya man. It can get old. Just know that house is a great investment long term.
If you have the ability to rent out a portion to a buddy to help pay for it, that is huge.
My house in ATL has a basement apt, in which the tenant pays the mortgage and bills.
I used to stay there “rent” free for years. But it takes a plan. My plan was to buy a house with multiple entry points, so I could have a rental space.

I don’t give 2 shits about money. In fact it can easily be the root of all evil! Now my time, that is what I want. All of it, don’t chase the dollar, chase freedom.
