I feel like there aren't any good gear deals out there right now, which is disappointing. Or I'm too specific in my wants that the things I want aren't on sale.

I did buy some coffee stuff on pretty decent sales so I wish the motorcycle stuff would go on sale too.

 

Feel like that's always the case lol. Or the stuff that goes on sale, you already bought previously at full retail.

I just spent about $900 on a new ohlins rear for the R3. and copped a holster + light for my new sig that got delivered to the FFL today.

 

The gun got delivered or you have to have accessories delivered to a FFL too?

 

Like mentioned all the wiring is there to install either Yamaha OEM or aftermarket oxford grips directly into the stock harness with seamless integration with the stock dash.

Non es suspension is just as good and has full adjustability (just manually vs the ES).

IF you like the yellow and maybe talk him down to 7500 I'd say great dealio right now

 

The gun got delivered to the FFL today, so i get to go in and start the lovely 10 day waiting period.

The accessories will be delivered to my home...but probably not for a week or so due to the holiday. If anyone's looking, Trex is having an early BF sale on select items right now.

 

He's out of town till Saturday so I wouldn't be able to go there till next weekend, unfortunately.

 

Anyone know if RMATV does black friday sales?

 

I could look it up but do you recall how much Yamaha OEM grips are? I've always made it a point to get the OEM stuff if the bike can support it.

 

Gotcha. I was about to say if you had to have accessories delivered to a FFL. I'm so thankful we don't have a waiting period. The only issue we run into is the BG check may take a day or two. Some of our county sheriffs screwed us on using a CCW to bypass the BG b/c some were issuing permits without doing the BG and felons got their hands on permits. Of course they didn't get into any trouble with the law.....just screwed over the citizens.

yeah our waiting period isucks but tbh it doesn't bother me that much. what's another 10 days when i've been waiting for this gun to get added for over a year lol.

Yeah fortunately accessories can be delivered directly. Not the case with ammo though, anymore. You can no longer buy or transfer ammo without running it through an FFL, whether that's retail or private....technically

 

Derp missed that. It's all the usual close outs though looks like, I got my eye on the 2024 fly f-16 set which I think I am sol on getting a discount on.

Yeah idk how much people are adhering to the ammo rule...not really any way for people to track it.

Some gun shops are very against it, and won't charge you a fee to accept your ammo transfers. Some don't even care how much ammo you're buying, they just ask for the price paid and you can tell them whatever you want lol

 

Do you guys have a limit on how much ammo you can buy? The only time we run into that problem is when shortages hit....then you get 3 boxes I learned my lesson after the 2008ish ammo shortage on that one.

 

No limits on buying, but if you're selling off your ammo, you have to keep it under 500rds a month or you are required to get an FFL lol.

I just took stock of my ammo reserves the other day...got a lot more than i remember buying lol.

 

Ugh I figured haha. I paid the same amount for the OEM grips on my CB1000R.
