We got off on a side trail while Jeep trailing in Ouray, CO and stumbled on this photo shoot by a crew from Denver. There were three more Tacomas on the other side that we couldn’t see. IMG_1728.jpg

Dude in the black cap making stink eye at you. Good to know not everything is green screened.

Edit: I think that is a dude.

Do they bring car wash buckets up on a trailer? I’ve been to Ouray tons, no way trucks stay so clean. Helicoptered in?

I don’t think Toyota ever use green screen for photoshoot like these. All of em to date are taken in real, scenic locations.

Marketing people love to throw away money on stuff like that I bet, if includes business class airfare across the way.

They are towed in, in enclosed trailers most likely

Looks like a bad-ass old Sears tractor on the right, talk about off-road capability

Okay…is it just me, or is the color match just a bit off between the sheet metal and the plastic fascia?

It’s too difficult to judge from an overexposed photo at that distance.

Hmmm, maybe it’s my supposed eye-saver software that is messing with the image color.

The pictures were taken with my IPhone at a distance. I wasn’t sure they would have approved. But the entire crew was friendly and a couple of them told us how they were staging the shots.

It's the same. Lighting effects angular surfaces differently.

Probably, hard to tell from a fuzzy picture.

Though plastic fascia never matches metal parts. It is always off just a smidge.

Apparent on this SR5 where it meets the fender. The silver looks “warm” on the bumper fascia and grill surround, and “cool” for the rest of the truck. My MGM taco is the same, off just ever so slightly. Went to art school and had a stack of warm and cool grey markers, so that is my reference point.

I really like the contrast on the flares for the OR, but the SR5 color 'match' is starting to grow on me.
