Rear flange was exactly the same length. Rear shaft is in, it moves and brakes as expected. Time to focus on a lot of the little stuff.

So good! Can’t wait to work some of the bugs out and gain some trust in this thing.

Front tcase flange swapped out, driveshaft in. Running outta room under the hood due to the shock towers. Need to fit the mini arb compressor, winch control box, bus bar and aux beam controller…it’s gonna be tight.

Output seal didn’t fix the trans leak, it’s filling up the cavity between the trans and tcase. Gotta pull it apart again and see what I’m working with.

Have my trans pulled apart and crawlbox right now if you need any assistance pictures, whatever. What are you leaking, tranny fluid or gear oil from crawlbox?

Appreciate the offer. It’s leaking the Toyota red ATF. There is either an internal seal upstream of the output seal that’s bad (guessing this is the problem), a crack in the housing (unlikely), or the nwfab input shaft is a smaller diameter than factory (unlikely). Will be pulling the tcase tomorrow. Definitely open to any other ideas.

Do you have the rear of the trans pulled apart? Is there an additional seal upstream of the seal you can see from the rear of the trans? I’m looking for a parts diagram too…

Tcase is out, new seal was fucked up more than the one I pulled out. Either I suck as stabbing in a tcase (definitely possible) or there’s a larger diameter shoulder in the tcase input shaft that extends further than it should (measurements are damn close). Going to pick up some additional seals and test it out. 1.47" diameter matches the factory t-case input shaft, so as long as the seal is riding here there shouldn't be an issue.

I had similar issue, my OG seal got messed up when I did the NWF Eco box, tried a lot of seals and the one I found to work was part number 15920 from Napa, brand was CR Seals (3.4 with Auto trans for reference)

Dude, thank you! I ordered a couple more factory seals and will pick up the same seal from Napa for comparison.

The last stretch is the hardest, time consuming, and most annoying. Especially when you start to see light at the end of the tunnel to find out its getting dimmer as you near the end.

When you say its finally done, that's when the tweaking began. At least that holds true with me, lol. Adjusting this, changing that, moving this, welding that, adding this, removing that, cutting this.... I'm still adding crap to this day, maybe this winter, it'll be really ready... :notsure:

So far, the 2 items that broke off were the original factory 20+ y/o plastic tab from the corner lights.

100%. Been through this process a few times, it'll never be done...just a matter of how long I keep this one and how much I can get done. Adult legos are entertaining.

Here's the last couple, neither ever finished.

Adult Legos are STUPID EXPENSIVE too... At least I know this one is my last "truck" project, lol. But I still have other "car" projects to complete

Trans leak is fixed, winch wired up…stuffed the control box inside the bumper so the compressor will fit under the hood.

Lockers wired/plumbed, switch panel in. Trimming is next.

Have just a little bit of trimming to do to the front fenders and bumper. Probly 4” of flex left where the tractor tapped out.

Cases are making some fun metal noises, need to pull them out and tear them down to see what I did wrong. Only have ~60 miles on them. A little bit of metal in the fluid from both the crawl box and rear case...but nothing super concerning. I've built geared boxes without issues several times. Seriously considering ditching this setup for a geared rear box which would make mounting and a skid much easier.
