Great slideshow...reminds me of the last 15 years of my travels. Does any one place stand out over others?

I really enjoyed the Mojave Preserve and Death Valley since there is so much opportunity for dispersed camping away from others inside the park. I've made 4 trips to Death Valley and there is still stuff out there I haven't seen.

Hiking wise I think Glacier and Yosemite were my favorites.

I love it. It's my new favorite tent. Has room for everything inside it. The blackout fabric is stellar. The heater/ac port is a nice bonus too. Not to mention the rack on the lid. The only negative was the OEM mattress. Spend all that money on a tent and that part is mega lacking. I replaced it with an Exped megamat though, so now it's perfect.

What tent did you have previously to compare it to? I have a soft topper Tepui with an upgraded mattress. I heard the OEM mattress was not very good from 4x4 so I'd probably upgrade as well.

I had a Tepui Kukenam? first, only one night in that one though. Then a 23 Zero Breezeway. Maybe 7-10 nights in that one. 3rd was a Desert Armor Warrior. Had about 3 weeks worth of nights in there. I found the Exped while I had the Warrior. Tried all the mattresses, mattress toppers, extra blankets, and then found the megamat. That one is the best by far. Almost like a real bed.

Anza Borrego(CA)IMG_3335.jpg IMG_0178.jpg IMG_3302.jpg IMG_0180.jpg Gents, Anza Borrego (CA) had excellent trail conditions this past weekend, i camped at Tamarisk Grove Fri-Sun. Ran Oriflamme canyon to Rodriguez Truck trail, normal trail conditions with only a few snotty spots. We went out to Fonts Point after for the kiddo to get some seat time, and ran to Vista del Malpias as well for her to get more “technical” trail experience behind the wheel. We dipped into Borrego springs, went by the Anza welcome center(def a spot to take the kids, they have a whole room specific for learning about desert animals) and were able to catch the Saturday “craft fair” at the Borrego springs roundabout park.
*note* the ranger i spoke with(at Fonts) was very nice, but did state that other rangers would likely ticket the parents if they catch underage drivers operating vehicles in the state park….i decided its worth the “risk” of big brother issuing a butthurt report as long as the kiddo can gain some valuable experience. We stayed away from other vehicles(only saw 3 others the entire trail) and my daughter had a great time.

I got the Alto Mini. Its a basically a queen sized bed. Yep, aluminum all around including the top. Slightly overhangs my tailgate with it being this close to my cab. But there is enough room for the latches to open all the way. I got them to give me a 2nd set of latches too as a backup.

I've got an Exped Megamat 15, a double teton sleeping bag, 2 standard sized bedroom pillows, and 2 small throw blankets all stored inside.
