Tie downs are key and have saved me in a pinch. Also keep a store of bungie cables

 

With this gear you prob want bleach to get rid of any evidence

 

a small 3/8dr socket set, a 1/4" bit and driver set, tire repair kit, i also made a gun storage box from harbor freight into a tire change kit i carry a Rigid 1/2" dr impact gun, air pump and 2 6ah batteries a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter a snap-on flip socket to lug off set and i got a adapter that attaches to the factory scissor jack and it's all tucked nicely in foam

 

i also carry a old towing bag with my gear from back when i was a tow truck operator round slings, tow strap assorted d-ring shackles
and a dozen tie down straps

 

I keep a few socket wrenches, a hammer, gloves and some other miscellaneous tools... Never know when you'll have to fix something

 

I always have the following:

• Impact wrench w/ metric sockets
• Socket Set
• Torque Wrench
• Metric Box End Wrenches
• Headlamp
• Ratchet Straps
• Gloves
• Threadlocker Blue

 

Work gloves, ratchet straps, rope, folding bow saw, tarp, moving blankets, wool army blanket, fuses/bulbs, jumper cables, some snack bars, paper towels, and a microfiber cloth to clean the glass.

 

Oh, and for cold weather I’ve added a snow brush and emergency shovel.

 

I’ve added a 3/8s impact socket set and metric combo wrenches a moving blanket which protects my rear seat or to stay warm, a collapsible shovel and jumper cables.

Not technically a tool but I've made a habit of always keeping a first aid/trauma kit and tourniquet in all my trucks. You can even find ready made kits on Amazon for like $30.

 

I bring my traction boards, impact drill, tool set, and a pair of shoes also like to keep a jumper box that has an air compressor.

 

Those of you carrying jumper boxes, how long do those hold a charge if left in the truck during cold weather (10-20° temps)?

 

depends on battery chemistry, and parasitic load.

SLA/sealed lead acid don't work great.

lithium works better, but seems to generally only be good for 1 jump before re-charging the unit in the cold.

 

Helped a guy out today with a jump. Diesel Silverado with two batteries, he had a jump pack on one and I jumped the other battery with cables to get it started.
