Just to pass the time until Tuesday:

What kind of Earl (oil) are all y’all going to run in your G4?

    Me, I’m a Mobil 1 guy.

I want everything to be electric. I want a laser gun, preferably a phase plasma rifle in the 40W range. I have lots of ammo stockpiled and reloading components but I don't feel it's enough, I'm going run out/or it will be too hard to get in the future. I want to be able to solar recharge my laser gun battery packs so I'll never be out of "ammo".

Yeah . Seems like something I would certainly wait on until there was some frame of reference on reliability.

They sure do look like a throwback old school pickup truck tho

Whatever is cheapest and within spec. I tried 10,000 mile changes in my current i4 taco.... It doesn't work...I have to do 5,000 mile intervals if I want longevity out of this rig. I'd imagine in the 4g with a turbo you'd want to be on a 5k interval... At that rate it really doesn't matter what you dump in there just as long as it's within spec.

Those are cool looking, has a Datsun 620 vibe.

Customer of ours showed up in a brand new Rivian SUV today, finally was able to check out the interior in person. Incredibly nice, blows Telsa’s interior out of the water. Shame they are $100K, can’t see paying that much for a vehicle that can’t do much. Not enough range to really tow anything.

Kinda dig the Canoo truck, practically out the wazoo. https://www.canoo.com/pickup/

Solar recharge? How about Nikola Tesla wireless power? Watched a documentary on him the other night, it was interesting. Got a little bit conspiracy theory, but interesting nonetheless.

All I know is because @4runnerToTacoma told us it’s a lawnmower engine I plan on changing the oil spring like my lawnmower. Or is it every 100 hours?

the letter in the last 6 digits makes it a temporary VIN until it hits the line and a permanent one is created.

Some of us have been hurt before. We're skeptical now.

But I have no clue who the dude that posted it is. You say he is a sales manager, i'll take your word for it.

Also, just so we are clear, I'm not saying it is fake and never did. Just saying why some might have been questioning it.

Look like a few posts back, he's in one of the FB groups pushing inventory, and a quick facebook search shows he is a sales manager or part of the sales team at said dealer.

Gotcha, ya I wasnt dying on a hill or thinking we were fighting, I just noticed everyone was cherry picking, the old specs lol I'm sure they'll update the stanard spec sheet as they go and units hit lots, just wanted to let people know the ball was in motion it seems, which overall is just dumb as we still dont have pricing, packages, MPG, etc. I just don't understand Toyota lately these days.

Reliability? That would suggest that these trucks actually exist, even if only one prototype. I agree the styling of the digital images is great. But that’s all there is.

0W16 will be the standard oil spec'd in the owner's manual. Someone will put in 0W-8 by mistake and ask if it's OK...

Now they're back to canister filters, there will be more dissection videos trying to show why Fram is bad, etc.

This is a over 4k pound truck with similar lawnmower engine civic has.. But I am sure manual will say it all, how to take care of your precious tiny engine under the hood of a big truck

How do you know that 10k doesn't work?

I've been going 10k with Mobil 1 5W-30 and Fram Ultra Synthetic filters for 50,000 miles now and my 1GR-FE still goes vroom.

The 2.4t is 50% larger than the motors in f1 cars.

the Tacomas hybrid design is the same idea as KERS too.

    it’ll be ok
