The only two things needed to be done in the garage for my CNC setup is buy a refrigerated air dryer, to get the most out of my consumables, and a better air compressor.

My air compressor is more than up to getting everything done I ask of it, but adding a refrigerated air dryer will become an inhibitor along with my desiccant filter, water separator, and motorguard filter.

 

Judging by my last build thread, I'm not gonna waste the time

Some guy was complaining his 5VZ was knocking on the facebook group, then he went on to say he's been "shifting at redline for the last 70k miles."

Like dude, these aren't F1 cars. Idk what it is about these old Toyotas that make people think they like the redline. Maybe an RX7, but an old Toyota Pickup?

 

Makes sense about redlining. A lot comes from maintenance history. There were a few (and I mean a few) 99 models with wrist pin noise. That accounted for a number of JDM replacement engine sales.

 

You mean from the factory? there were a few 5sfe Camrys with improperly torqued rods from the factory, but Toyota never admitted it.

 

My experience was with engines well over 200,000 miles.
