I'm sure it will be. Daphne didn't come on the Squier in 1999 (the neck date code), so it might not even be a Squier body. Regardless it's going to look like this when I'm done.

Invader for days! I've realized I basically will end up with no clean pups. I've got a JB in my LP double cut copy and whatever junk Agile stuffed in the neck and then all the Invaders and an X2N. But, that matches what I like for music, so it'll be fine, or something.

I know I'm an old man now because my favorite pickup is the p90 at this point hahaha. But I have more no name/stocker stuff than I don't at this point because I can't be bothered these days, which agile did you go with?

I think it’s an AD-2800. I bought it off a friend in college in like 2005 for $100 because it was blue, transparent with a flame top and pretty lol.

I'm sure I posted here that I bought the parts to replicate one of my "nice" guitars in cheaper parts so I don't have to worry about a chance of the kids damaging it when it's hanging on my wall, right? Well, I decided for a fun winter project to build a guitar from parts. I bought the neck I wanted and put an order in for a bare pre-painted body. Unfortunately the color, while matching the website, didn't match the builds I saw and doesn't match the actual nameplate color. So here I am buying another used guitar to strip down to build what I wanted to build in the first place.

In essence I had wanted the Tom Delonge Stratocaster since I was in HS. I had the opportunity to buy the re-issue and I love it, but the way the guitars hang in my office there's a non-zero chance my typically well-behaved monsters could bang into it, so I have it in a case and pull it when they're not around. Wanting something to pull off the wall, I grabbed a Squier that had the right color scheme / neck design. I was messing around on Reverb and found a matching neck. I had always wanted the blue version of the guitar as well (mine is green) so I bought a Guitar Fetish Daphne Blue body. It looked surf green in the pic, but I had seen a build where it looked the correct color and lo and behold I got it and it's the same color as my green one. I'll have to eat return shipping, but such is life.

I ended up finding a used Daphne blue Squier on Guitar Center's website somewhere in TX. It looks a little bit like aged Daphne compared to the more blue on the new ones, but I called and had the guy Facetime me and hold it next to a Surf Green and it's definitely not green. So I'm going to neck swap it and start building it. I've never done anything like this before, so this is either going to be amazing or a fantastic waste of money. My suspicion it's going to be the latter, but we will see what happens, right?

It would be tremendously helpful if I could actually play guitar.

Oh never. Not like I started back into the bike thing with just one bike to tinker with and didn't end up with about 14 now, not to mention buying parts all the time even if I have no need for them or have more than I can feasibly use at the time.

I bid on a set of BMX GT Mag wheels on eBay last week. Not because I'm a BMX enthusiast anymore, but because I want to convert my old Dyno back to how it was when I was a kid so I wouldn't feel guilty selling my Haro. I haven't ridden either since junior high, but somehow I need to bid $300 on something I won't use.

@ABA180 Do you have any connections for a cheap set of white GT Tomahawks (the straight ones, not the 80s blade style)? I just want to throw them back on my Dyno with white GT tires for a display build. Then the Haro can go up for sale.

I know before the changes in 2019 to the monitoring they could fail you for reflective plate not being sufficient.

The cameras went up because of how much people were complaining about how inspection programs were BS, and people would just go to "a guy", and get their inspection done. Statistically, they're BS with and without cameras, but we can't backtrack and say "Oh, okay, let's use math" - we need the income stream of inspections to function, I guess, so we have to justify them, somehow.... I'll stop myself there.

Interestingly, the horn has to work BUT it doesn't need to be connected to the driver airbag/horn button. You can have a momentary switch anywhere for the horn, that's all that's legally needed.

I had to do a flip switch long ago for one of my cars, can confirm.

And each time the inspection changes, the fee goes up, and the station gets less of the actual cost.

I made an Indiana Hoosier Sugar Cream Pie
Part of the contest is you must provide a written recipe.
This is like the 28th annual contest...There's a LOT of pies each year...
Kids usually win because their votes are stacked by their parents AND themselves...
Note the explicit instructions on how to deal with excess ingredients...
