:D Thanks James! Brian, you'd have had to see my post a few pages back to know that I'm deathly allergic to poultry and I enjoy a delicious pork roast on Thanksgiving. I was not disappointed this year. Yum.

I got to do a good deed for a fellow first time Toyota owner this morning and I have you guys to thank for it, in particular the 4Runner guys. Somebody contacted me on Craigslist about my off-road wheels and tires yesterday and I said come on by today. He came from the Oconomowoc area and was ready to hand over the cash as soon as he saw the goods, before I even got a good look at what he was driving. He had an older 4th gen 4Runner. I told him I didn't think my 16" wheels would work on it because it had bigger front brakes than the Tacos. I only know this from BS'ing with you nerds. So, he was disappointed and I didn't make the sale, but if I hadn't picked up that nugget of knowledge from you guys, he would have had a lot worse day when he got back home and tried to put them on. He was very appreciative.

    Thanks fellas!

I hate to say this, but some of the 4th gens came with 16's, depending on trim. There were also 2 different front brake setups. I learned this the hard way when I bought the wrong size rotors the first time I replaced them.

Might be worth checking. If his came with 17's, good chance he has the big brakes. The caliper will be etched 13WG or 13WL, but I can't remember which was which. I think "WG" was the big ones, but I'd have to check to be sure.

Yeah, I wasn't certain about the 4th gens, but he had 17s on it and I offered to grab my floor jack and pop one off to check. We did and the 16 would not go on.

I doubt he got a perma-ban. He has taken a few breaks from here. He might pop back in one of these days. Hopefully he's having fun in the meantime.

He does tend to say things a bit more directly than the powers that be would prefer.

Shockingly I've only noticeably been trailed by moderators a couple times.
A little surprised I'm still here.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I couldn't escape from Black Friday sales after all. Figured I've done pretty good not spending all my money on my truck but it's been a trusty steed so far so it needs a little something now and again.

Have you spent much time on the ice?
Standing in the middle of a lake ice fishing when you hear an entire wall shift or shoreline pop.
Another pucker factor to go along with black bear and roll factor. lol

Some friends and I tossed a canoe onto an almost loose berg. chopped it off the rest of the way, hopped on, and floated a couple miles down river on it.

    Dumb kids!

Not so much anymore but when I was younger I used to hang out fishing and snowmobiling on lakes often. The random ice sounds were definitely unnerving sometimes that's for sure. I once jumped on a little iceberg by the superior shoreline and it immediately broke in half, thankfully it was only waist deep

That would've made for a good video. Good thing there wasn't cameras everywhere, then.

I should've added that the berg started out big enough for the canoe and 3 guys to walk around on. 8x10 maybe.
We rode it until it melted to the point we had to jump in the canoe. lol
    Good times!
