    I use to sell toyotas several years ago and I recently spoke to my old manager. He and a few other salesman at other dealerships seem to be saying the same thing, that the tacoma for 2012 is going to be updated (not a full redesign) with new sheetmetal to look more like the new 4Runner. The V6 will also be updated to have the independent VVTi engine that the runner has. If thats the case, then I'd expect a bump in horsepower and a little better gas milage.

    If you look at the 4runner and highlander headlights, this black rendering seems to be following a similar design, so we could expect to see something like this.

    Its somebody's photoshop version of how it may look. no official images have been released. I would expect them too until last minute cause they dont want to hurt the sales numbers of the 2011 units.

    AHHHHH just leading me on again and again! I guess it dosen't matter, i'm getteing a 2012 anyway. It's been a long time comming and a long time saving but I guess the torture of saving will be wrth the no payment of a new Taco. I'm sure it will look good no matter what.

    i'll do it when i have more time, but all you've gotta do is select the body of the car and then click "overlay" and then paint it whatever color you want... pretty simple

    All boxy and shit like a Nissan or worse 4 RUNNER.....HOPEFULLY that WILL be the 2012 so I will feel comfortable keeping mine. The only good thing is the fenders are not a dull version of the body color.

    the headlights and grill will probably be a little bigger on the tacoma and the front end just looking a little "bolder" than the 4runner. that is usually what they do.

    it looks like a Nissan frontier!!! FUGLY shoebox. I hate when a new model comes out when i just bought the old...In this case I will celebrate if that slant eye thing is the 2012 Tacoma. Toyota killed the 4 Runners with the Shoebox 4th gen.

    I think that beside the front headlight sticking out the truck 1 foot, most ppl like the look of the new 4Runner. I like it, and would probably want to have one if it had a look similar to the new 4runner.

    When looking at the back of that toyota motorcycle in your signature, I find it f.cking ugly, but that does not mean that it really is in the eye of most motorcyclists.
