the fishing in NC is good. our Big Rock tournament is the biggest marlin tournament in the world. millions of dollars in prize money. . . hell the weigh in is literally a tourist attraction. i want to go some day. . . though ive never done much ocean fishing, caught some blues and kings near Beaufort but that's about it.

are there any state owned companies like telephone, insurance or power?

 

no, but we have state owned automotive companies such as general motors.

 

as every state is different though from my stand point, no not really. it's an odd question. but insurance, power and telephone are all private companies. competition = cheaper prices.

well i mean there aren't any state "companies". i just got to thinking of it from the stand point of the DMV, police, government subsidized schooling, stuff like that. . . . but no, america has a pretty strong laissez-faire economic and trade system. (threw in some french for ya )

our gov't was securing high risk loans so that banks would lend to anyone without risk of default and losing money.
