Ranger Raptor and ZR2 Bison are a bit more than that I think...

But yeah I agree with you. People on this forum talking shit about the shock absorber seats as if the 4th gen Pro will be in their price range...

A $60,000 Bison gives you factory front and rear lockers and factory 35” (among other equipment). By the time you did that to a $53,000 Tacoma it would be over $60,000. I do like all of them, just wish prices weren’t so damn much.

Most of us can make poor decisions and finance a 6-figure truck at 9% interest. But if you were shopping for a mid-size truck today, would you be shopping in the $60k range? $70k? $80k?

I wouldn't be surprised if street prices for the Pro start at $60k with "market adjustment". Then you'd have to wait for lockers to become available for the new front diff...

The 300-series Land Cruiser is offered with a factory front locker in Australia, but only in the top-level GR Sport trim, which costs $150k AUD or about $100k USD.

I was saying I can finance it and still be well within my means as we live well below them, doesn’t mean I would just cause I can and certainly not six figures nor 60, 70 or 80k. And yes if shopping midsize I would be giving other options a second look at $60k price point, but unfortunately that’s the market right now, everything is up in price. $55k base SUVs, $65k full size trucks, etc.

But then you are forced to risk cancer and reproductive harm by living in California. Drive outside state lines and your 1st gen will have rust flakes falling off the frame in less than 24 hrs.

Note I said "will be in their price range" not "will be affordable".

Most banks will approve financing if the monthly payment is up to 20% of your gross income, so that's considered "affordable".
