I truly would not have cared if someone else here had snagged it at all. I really had not planned on buying another bike right now but at this price I would have been foolish to let it go. Problem now will be how much I'm likely to spend making it rally ready. Clearwater lights aren't cheap. I'm hoping I can sell off 2 of the seats fairly quickly and convert that cash into stuff I will use. Need a auxiliary fuse block, GPS mount and power cord for my Garmin Zumo XT, heated gear power cable, at least one set of lights to get me started, Ram mount for my phone, reflective decals for the saddlebags, possibly 90 degree valve stems if there aren't some already on the bike.

Bike purchase is just the beginning.....I did add it to my insurance already and there went almost $200.

The keeper definitely could have broken though, I didn't really check for it.

I do want to get into the bottom end to see if I can find the valve.

just a couple of things tbh
damn.. that sucks man.. the positive thing is you do like the bike and enjoy it so you would be keeping something you like. downside is how much its worth... that makes you think is it worth it or not

That sux. I wouldn't really bother going any further with it unless you are just curious about what else took it in the shorts.
At lest we can now rule out oil as the culprit.
Good to know about aftermarket exhaust possibly causing a lean mix, good reason to keep it stock.
Are you going to try and replace the engine or just get another bike and part out what's left?

Picked up this little guy at Home Depot today for $30. Hopefully it'll be decent enough for quick tire top offs without dragging out the air hose and compressor.

Also picked up a light duty cordless screw driver and then threw the same battery system's soldering pen onto my christmas list. If they had had it in-store I probably would have bought it too. I'm intrigued to see what else they come out iwth in this line. Little 4v tools with swappable batteries and USB charging of them.

I was just telling @gixxerphil in the AL. thread about this place. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/

A guy I work with gets a lot of his stuff from there. We even have an actual store an hour away. The guy goes to it every couple of months and sometimes gets better deals in store.

Looks like a decent outfit. They have the inflator as a factory blemish for the same price as home depot’s black friday sale. I’m at my parents for the weekend but am looking forward to actually trying it out. A little worried it won’t have enough umph for anything more than a bike tire being only 4v.
