Oh boy the CARNAGE! yeah I wouldn't trust much inside that motor to rebuild it. Maybe random covers, sensors etc.

If you are down in the ventura county area lmk you can take mine for a spin

Picked up a NOCO battery and charger for the scooter. Should be here Monday. Figured I’d give it a whirl and see how it goes.

I was looking at the same thing earlier. I wasn't sure which one would work for the bike. I got 2 of the GB40's a few years ago. Been great.

The charger alone is worth it's weight in gold. I have the NOCO 10, and they do everything they say they will.
Check the warnings on the battery. Lithium batteries are great, Your bike will turn over like it has two batteries attached, but they require a bit more tlc in the cold weather. I remove the one in my camper every winter and store it in a spare room.

Rite rite. I was thinking of the NLP9, but it’s a little wider than the 5. Plus the 9 has the pos and neg. Reversed. So…. The 5 it was.

That said, the stock battery is only 90 cranking amps (I think), whereas the NOCO, is 250 cranking amps. The bike should spin up quickly now.

Hell, if I don’t like it…. I can always throw it in the bed, cubby hole and finally put in my LED lights I got a couple years ago for the bed of the truck. o_O:D

    Cools!

I already have a charger that will do the lithium, but figured I match them up, just because.

Picked up the 2013 FJR this morning and rode it home in 37 degree temps. First mod is likely to be a power cord for my heated gear.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
That’s one of my first mods as well! Bar risers, wide pegs, SAE connector to all things electric.

How are you tires feeling down at 37? You feel a difference?

I have had the 1 amp noco battery tender for years. Does awesome with everything. (I made an adapter to go to sae 2 pin tender leads I have on everything)

I have also have the NLP14 in the super tenere (which is notorious for super slow cranking and sometimes hard to start). Battery has fired up my bike flawless for the last year.

About to roll out in RMAX and go saw up some trees that have fallen.

I got a nice Stihl 290 and a smaller Stihl 200t limb saw. Both will rip thru anything and I can’t recommend those enough. They have lasted forever.

Those are nice bags! I have some Tusk gear. Mostly MM bags, but it’s nice to outfit some of the other bikes, that could be used as a rental ADV. Or maybe when y’all show up ;)

First time riding on the Michelin Road 6GT and upon talking to the seller he was running 36 psi front/42 psi rear so that's not my normal either. I also noted the front forks have full preload cranked in which really shouldn't be necessary. I hopped on the turnpike and just blasted home. Bike needs some clean up but currently our area is under mandatory water restriction so I need to hold off giving it a proper bath.

Stopped at Cycle Gear to see if they had a coax power lead with battery connector end so I could just hook it straight to the battery. Best they could do was a SAE to coax adapter which does me no good. I use the SAE end to plug into my tankbag so I have power in there to charge my Sena and phone so I need a second wire just for heated gear.

150 miles on the KTM today! About 110 more miles to go for break in.

My friend was saying it's crazy how we both love our bikes (he's got the S1000RR) but they're both completely different. :D

The 60th anniversary 2016 one is down in SoCal so I might head that way.... going to see how it is commuting on the KTM first. I went on a ride this morning at 40 degrees without heated grips and while my hands froze, the heated jacket really helped.
