Well said my friend, we are in good times when even if you choose not to decide you still have made a choice . Choices are the key word ,if we were limited we wouldn’t be individuals.

I found the ship carrying mine to the west coast from Lazero Cerdenos! Truck sat 3 weeks in port and today is halfway up the coast of Baja California!

Alternatively I have seen a post on here where another member relocated the pulley hardware back a couple of inches by drilling a couple of holes for the relocation. Didn’t have to bend the horns and it was away from the exhaust. I’ll see if I can find the post and share it with you.

This is what I meant by relocating the hoist. Thanks for taking the time to link the instructions! I found the forward horns still limited my 285/70 from fully resting in the “cradle”. Only took a couple of whacks and very minor adjustment to fully seat

I’m going to try this once I get my fifth wheel and tire. Otherwise I’ll stow it in the bed until I get a high clearance rear bumper with a swing out. Glad I was able to find the post with instructions.

Thanks to all of you. I'm not sure which method I will use. I may just borrow someone's mallet and pound those horns/brackets/prongs or whatever they're called an inch forward to fully seat my 33 in. spare.

Anyone know if pounding those spare tire brackets will affect the structural integrity of the frame?

Second pic here shows what you slam on. It’s attached to the frame it is in, not a part of it.
I don’t see how it would affect the integrity of the frame, but I’m no structural engineer. That’s not even something I considered before I was under there hammering away, so good on you for questioning what some random guy on the internet says before jumping into action!

I approve @musicisevil 's comment. Esp because of what I experienced installing an aftermarket part that interfered with the frame hole plug part# 90950-01A24. I believe the problem on the newer versions of the part has been corrected, but in my case I was told by the vendor (not verbatim) to just pry them out of the way. The product was otherwise high quality, but being AR (I blame my vocation) I was sort of surprised by the response. I thought there must be a reason that, after all the R&D, Toyota provided these plugs. Long story short I modified the aftermarket part so the plugs could be used as designed.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
For any that have a toolbox like I do, I bolt my spare right into the underside of the toolbox. Just a couple of lag bolts fed up through 2 tire bolt holes and into the bottom of the box.

I have had a couple of flats in very bad spots where it meant getting the spare from under the truck in mud, and another time in a shallow running creek. Easier now to just unbolt it from inside the toolbox and slide it out.

I drive a lot of washouts like in the photo, and my spare was dragging through sharp rocks and always getting hooked up. Lots of room under the truck now with no tire hanging there.

Just got my Platform rack, light bar, and awning installed by Antidote Outdoors.

Install went smoothly, and I set up my appointment over the phone.
Arrived early to make sure this place was legit.
The people working there were chill and very welcoming.
They said it would take a few hours to install so I grabbed an Uber and went to Starbucks.

They actually finished earlier than they said they would which was cool.
When I got back from Starbucks my truck looked like a totally different truck. I am very satisfied and excited with how everything turned out.

    Thanks, Antidote
