I wonder if there actually is a commonality: a bad oil pump design? Or maybe an oil distribution issue?

"Off-road Trail Pipe" (the 90-deg elbow that dumps the exhaust before the axle) is openly sold as an accessory

Rear differential skid plate

Spray-on bed liner

The picture shown for the "TRD 18-in wheel - Black" is actually a 17" wheel.

 

Seems silly to work so hard, accumulate wealth, and not buy something nice for yourself once in a while. You can’t take it with you.

 

The off road tail pipe should be standard, that dumb tip coming out the driver side looks stupid

 

^The masses prefer big chrome exhaust tips, that's why the TRD catback system will have two of them...

Quickly glanced at that picture, and thought it was rear ended…then went “oh it is supposed to be that way”

 

It seems like Toyota is really trying to cash in on all the off-road type accessories. You could add on sliders, molle panels, trans and rear diff skids from the dealer now.

 

Sounds like they are meeting customer needs. Make a profit from it's a bonus. Woooo capitalism!

 

Curious to see how quick those skids will bend under real off-roading/crawling. At least I could have an illuminated Toyota emblem now

Somebody is gonna be in trouble for those sheets getting out, Toyota definitely doesn't want the margin sheets floating around..lol. I'm gonna save em before they disappear, you never know when they will come in handy for a "negotiation"

 

I don’t think manufacturers care as much. On the Ford forums guys post order guides and price guides all the time (that actually shows holdback). Once you see behind the curtain and realize how much or how little margin there is you’re more capable of a rational offer (hopefully, unless you’re an idiot).

 

Yes. And the dealer/salespeople don't care. In my pre-sales negotiations I often get accessories/add-ons at cost as they show me the cost sheet. Everyone's mileage may vary of course.

 

Has it been confirmed if they're gonna release the 6ft bed with the crew cab? That's what my previous Tacoma was and there's no way I want to go with a 5ft bed.

I was told by my sales girl the off road comes with a 6 footer in canada...showed it to me on the paper she had

 

Hopefully it comes to the US. I can't imagine it won't if Canada is getting it. That would be insane.
