Started my shopping list of what I want for the 2013 FJR I just bought. Already ordered a power cord for my heated gear from Warm & Safe. Found a left side cover on eBay to replace the existing one that has a large section of paint rubbed off. Amazon cart is getting full. Probably ordering a pair of Clearwater lights later this week once my credit card billing cycle resets so I can float the cost an extra month.

I ordered a king and queen comfort seat for my bonneville about 2 months ago and it came in last week. The dealer gave me a good price on it way less than anywhere else $335, worth waiting for the backorder.
It's a little wider in the .I'd section but I don't notice it when I sit on it.

I like the stitched on triumph logo.

    Stock seat.
    20231125_133414.jpg
And the new seat. I like that it doesn't take away the classic look that I like.

I really do enjoy this bike, hopefully it will be more comfortable on the longer rides now. A long ride for me now is 300 miles. So it's cold here now and I don't really enjoy riding in cold weather much anymore, so I added Stabil to the fuel and ran it for about 15 minutes to get the treated fuel through the system. She's plugged into the battery tender and parked for the winter now. Should be about a 4 month slumber.

Thanks! Couldn't be any more different power wise but both so good to ride.

I ordered some Koso Apollo heated grips for the KTM as well.

Great deal right up until I saw the part about "skips second gear sometimes ". That is a serious issue requiring engine removal answer splitting the cases to repair. Not super common but there have been a few that has this. I test rode a 2007 once that had it and told my friend to walk away from it. I know of a 2013 in Florida that had it also.

I should be there about that same time. Was going to bring the "new" bike but I want my heated gear so the 2014 gets the nod.

Are you doing the same build as your other FJR or are you changing it up?

After riding the KTM 180 miles yesterday, I'm really tempted to just get a Kriega R30 backpack and use it to commute. It gets great MPG and has enough power for me. I'm just concerned about reliability.

I do have some heated grips coming in the next few days.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
The thing about reliability is most of it is our heads. Keep a good tab on where your bike is, and you’re good to go. They all have quirks.
