I know xbows are extremely fast but alot of shit can go wrong in the time it takes for a bolt to travel like 60 yards. Not to mention limbs that a person cant see.

Either way, its just my opinion.

I've shot 2 @38 yards but I prolly shouldn't have and that was pushing my limit.
I hope I can squeeze a few more years out of these miserable shoulders before I switch to a crossbow. Hell, I hope I'm still alive in a few more years.
    :)

You’ll have to excuse my ignorance I haven’t seen either since 1999. If I remember correctly the antlers have the same growth pattern and they look similar just the Mule deer is considerably larger or am i wrong ? I missed you were fro Co I remember Mule deer running around on post when I was stationed there

You are correct. This one is tall and not very wide. Most are much wider than this.

I've been hunting with 300blk since 2012. I got a Ruger American Ranch this season to lighten the load a couple pounds over my 300 Whisper AR. In my opinion neither of them have any kick. It's not a long range cartridge, but out to 200 yards or so it'll do the job without beating you up in the process. I'm using Remington 130 gr. Hog Hammer, I'm zeroed at 50, still on at a 100, and 8" low at 200. She starts to drop like a rock after that, at 225 I'd be 12" low, holding over the back and the holds get worse from there so I call 200 my outer limit.

I can relate to that brother, until my body reminds me I've had 5 spinal fusion surgeries.
