Yep. But I also care if I'm a 7 seed vs a 4 seed. If I'm a 12 seed, I'm just happy to be there because I was on the verge of not making it. If I'm even close to the top 4, there wasn't a doubt and seeding matters.

 

Bama is simply not a playoff team

 

Supposedly there are reports/rumors that Mark Stoops has meet with A&M several times in regards of the HC vacancy and they are close to inking a deal.

College football final closed their show stating Stoops is staying put at Kentucky.

 

Indiana has fired their head coach after 7 seasons. Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith to Michigan State.

 

So if Texas, FSU, Michigan, and Washington or Oregon win..

and Alabama beats Georgia..

who is in?

I think at that point it’s Michigan, FSU, Texas, and Wash/Oregon and the SEC actually gets left out.

 

Idk, you'd probably have to make a case for Oregon since they're also a 1-loss team. I don't see them leaving Georgia out unless they're blown out somehow.

 

I think someone’s stance on the expanded playoff would change.

I think Alabama would leap every other 1-loss team via recency bias.

I’d say they would leave Georgia out because of the strength of schedule, if they lost.

I agree, I think they’d give favoritism and try to justify Alabama over a team like Texas even though they lost head to head with some kind of “the sec is still the toughest” BS.

 

Yeah but the bias is still there and they get the benefit of the doubt since they took care of business and they're the defending champions for the 2nd year in a row. I just don't see them not making it unless Alabama blows them out for some reason.

 

But there would be 4 other conference champions either undefeated or a matching record..

 

Right, which is where I think Georgia still gets the benefit of the doubt over the matching records. Again, unless they get blown out for some reason.
