Well I sat down... and that ended the work day.

I think I am starting to see a light at the end of this tunnel, generally for me it turns out to be an approaching train - or maybe I left the cellar lights on and they are shining through the hole in the floor...

Maybe i am just a smart guy, but I knew not to eat paint chips.
    We played with Mercury balls.
Asbestos is fine until it is stirred up into breath able fibers.
Silicon rocks and Cedar logs should not be inhaled. I learned all that before I was 10 yo. Good teachers? Common sense? Dumb luck? You decide. Mercury was cool.

Did Mercury like it when you played with his balls?

Gotta say it’s not often to come across an asbestos advocate…

Luckily the couple safety guys at work turn a blind eye to us in the maintenance department... :anonymous:

A certain vehicle assembly building(hint: the vab) has asbestos all over built in 64 or 65. Lots of techs I've worked around talk about what an honor it is to process vehicles in that building. It is an honor but Id rather not spend my career in a building 400 feet tall in asbestos if I didnt have to.

When I was a kid dad was in old school HVAC, and would bring home the old thermostat's and have me take the Mercury out. I forgot why but it could sure shine up some coins.

We have one female and one male officers watching us like a hawk; the male officer used to be one of us in maintenance department and got transferred; you can guess who is more aggressive between the two. :muscleflexing:

Good morning friends!!! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, have a great Monday :hattip:

Last week my mom text me and said my aunt (her sister) was having emergency brain surgery. She had an aneurysm and it ruptured, luckily she was with some friends when it happened and got the help she needed. She's not in the clear yet, still in ICU for several days.

Here is a photo of the cut for those that want to see 30+ staples on her head. I know some don't want to see it so we gonna spoil it :D

Not an avocate, just use common sense that, if the asbestos tile is behind 16 layers of paint put on over the past 40 years, then it probably won't hurt you. If it is in your HVAC system and is blowing fibers, then yes, get it out.

A belated good morning everyone :hattip:

The directions and customer support both say the only TV functions supported are power and volume.

If I press TV and any other buttons, the Cable light flashes, not the TV.

    It’s a CLIKR-5

Yikes! That’s a 1970’s Planet of the Apes kind of cut….

Good luck to her and all in her life. I hope she comes through stonger than ever.

Cool building from a historical point of view but there's lots of other places I'd rather work.

Did you see the book on the history of KSC linked in the bottom of the Space and Sci Thread? It’s an excellent history on how it got done.
