    i just did this this and want to dump it right after the muffler, would this cause a problem in deeper water,wheeling in the mud? anyone help out? sorry to jump on your thread. but your looks good!!!! i like the tip you got on there.

    If you have your spare in the stock location and the exhaust is hacked high enough to blow on it, that could be bad.

    Also, if you're into blingy tips, no one will see it under there.

    There may be a slight change in exhaust note inside the cab (a tad more drone).

    Other than that, no, and if you plan to wheel it's 100% mandatory.

    I did the chop 8 months ago with zero problems. Maybe if you were a double cab you could get some exhaust fumes in the cab, but the access cab is pretty safe.

    Its an angle thing from what I am reading. If you blast the exhaust/ sound down it bounces off the ground and is louder. I gave it an angle cut and there is a bit more noise, but I definitely like it.:cool:

    I think if you shoot it straight back there will be no difference. Translation cut after the bend behind the axle (horizontal), instead of before (vertical) or halfway (45*) through like I did.

    Very cool guys.
    My one and only concern with this it actually rust....
    I live in the midwest and when it's cold out there can be a ton of steam/condensation coming out of the exhaust that is normally taken out the tail pipe out the side. My concern is when it's dumped all that condensation just dumps out and rised to coat the under side of the bed.

    Typing it out makes it sound stupid to me and thinking about it, the underneath of your bed gets wet in the rain or if it's real humid out any way so the exhaust won't hurt anything. Maybe it's because I'm nervous about taking a sawsall to my new truck :D I will probably do this and take off the mud flaps when it gets nice out.
