I feel the same. It was a gamble, but they were $30 off for black friday. So I gave it a shot. I think these would only look good on the more monotone colors (silver, grey, black, white)

 

Why am I thinking of the Hanson brothers when I look at this.....

 

A little winterizing ahead of the Michigan winter, just in time for our first snow..

• Engine oil & filter
• Front & rear diffs
• Transfer case
• Fresh Fram engine & cabin air filters
• Rotated my AT3W's
• Rain-X'd all windows, mirrors, headlights, front sensor (works great for keeping ice off)
• Cleaned battery terminals, applied Permatex protectant

 

I plan on doing this too. Any tips/ steps for the install?

Sounds like an amazing price for rock sliders. I would love to see them but the link only goes to 4WP website and not the sliders you bought. I searched but could not find any rock sliders for under $300, just side steps and nerf bars. Please provide pictures of your install when you get them. Tks

 

Same thing happened to me but I found them by going to 'Tacoma' and then 'rock sliders'.
They are marked down from like $899. The reviews are decent but some complaints of poor install documents and the weight of the sliders is about 90lb each. There are a bunch of photos in the reviews if you want to see what they look like mounted. I like the fact that buyer can pick them up locally (if you have a 4WP near you) and you don't get hit with the BS shipping costs.

 

Did you move your tire hoist rearward? I can fit my 33” full size spare cleanly after doing it.

 

Added sliders and installed bike fork mounts - need to deflate the rear tire on my bike to shut the tailgate.

A hand pump is a lot cheaper and an item I bring on bike rides already - that and I don't want to buy another bed extender.

How are you attaching the front wheel? Just tied to the bed stiffeners and the OEM tie downs?

If that does not work, use search tab under vehicle specific. Then 4WP has there own line of bumpers/sliders.

 

Yes - I use 12" rubber coated twist ties secured to the stiffeners and tie downs - the twist ties are sturdy, don't damage the item being fastened and easy to fasten/remove (and cheap).

 

Got an oil spray done, def needed here in Canada with the salt, no snow yet but it’s coming.
Also installed licence plate LED bulbs and added RainX to the windows, helps a lot with ice and snow.
