Filing Warranty with parts.olathetoyota.com (Solved)

Hello,

Has anybody filed a warranty when buying parts from parts.olathetoyota.com?

I looked at the website in the Warranty section, it shows that "To claim your warranty: Bring your broken part(s) to your local Toyota dealership along with proof of purchase for a replacement part."

I called olathetoyota and talked to someone over the phone and he said "I can buy parts from them and if it's defective, I can bring it to ANY Toyota dealer for warranty claim even though I did not buy from them."

He also said there are Toyota dealer out do not want to help with warranty claims simply because I don't buy parts from them. In this case, I can either call 1800-TOYOTA to make a complaint because this is a part of their dealer contract agreement or call olathetoyota and they'll send a new part to my door.

Can someone confirm this information?

 

What part are you interested in buying that you are concerned about warranty for?

Most replacement parts don't come with much.....

 

Trying to buy a throttle body for 2007 Tacoma. Olathetoyota price is $287 ... is it a good price?

 

no clue. Never needed on. On anything.

Google the part number and see if other options arise.

But to your original question, I can't imagine that part having any, or any significant, warranty.
