Meaning the new truck can do something my current truck can’t. Other than being more shiny the new Tacoma isn’t going to do anything my current one can’t so why trade up if there’s still life left in the current truck.
If you want something that’s engine is not boring you should be looking at a sports cars instead of a midsize truck.

Better seating position, hopefully gas mileage. You could say this about the 90 percent of redesigned vehicles though so your comment is just typical trolling from you

Dunno, think Turd is right. While I think the improvements are major. It isn’t really going to do anything that much better than what I already have. Still driving slow, hauling and towing the same things in my ‘21, that I was in the ‘99. Mainly bought the ‘21 for peace of mind (not to break down on me) more than anything.

I'll add smoother ride , when ppl upgrade they upgrade for the tech , comfort, and many other options . Going by his post most trucks do the same thing over the last 30 years . In that case might as well buy a truck from the 90s

Are either or those worth $50K? Also how is a smart use of money considered trolling?

I don’t, really hate spending money. And I do this with about everything, buy a product and try to get as much life out of it as possible, and when I do buy something it is usually because I absolutely have to. Bit of a minimalist as well, not much of a consumer, the economy would certainly crash if everyone was like me.

Sure the 3G is a lot better/nicer than my 1G, but there is a lot of options on it that I don’t want or even use. And I bought a SR base model.

Would like to get 20+ years out of the 3rd Gen, much like what I did with the 1st Gen. But in an odd space in the next few years as I will be retiring and hitting the road. Don’t think even the new Tacoma is enough truck for the type of campers we are looking at.

That's just Turd, he is the TW doomsday machine. He would complain if he won the Powerball.

I wonder what the price difference will be between a max Tacoma and a Cyber Truck or Rivian.

Valid. I don't have an answer to be honest. I'd like to see model price and features per model I guess.

I paid 32k for my OR (about 36.5k in today dollars) and have really no reason to upgrade besides want. 4th gen would have to be remarkably cheap (hahahaha), or something catastrophic would have to happen to my current truck to force me into the market.

Not having a payment is really nice.

Just test drive the truck ffs and then complain lol . I have driven a 2nd gen and I tell you right now due to the lack of gears I would never own one. The 8 speed auto alone is worth an upgrade to people

Do you know what flex is , what is this lean you speak of . All I see is some flexing, probably using the sway bar disconnect

The pricing will be "competitive" with other manufactures. But you can't do exact apple to apple comparisons because they all have slightly different features and "perceived" value (Toyota reliability). Would I pay $1,000 or more for a truck I thought looked better (beauty being in the eye of the beholder) or just because I prefer a certain dash/controls layout? Absolutely.
