I would consider it after I knew the price and more about the truck.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
The real question is where the truck lives.

    The overall condition and price

    That looks like under coating

A road test and up close personal inspection

    Frame needs TLC always

What is that on there? Looks like fluid film. Maybe someone took care of it or they are hiding something. A hammer test or what I use to look at them is an automotive bore scope. Look inside the frame holes. The inside of the frame is what you wanna see. Harbor freight sells those bore scopes for a decent price and especially right now.

Looks like it’s already been patched there on the first photo. You can see a transition from frame plating to factory frame.

if it is patchwork, hard pass.

Box section looks Ok, rear looks bad, like undercoating was applied over heavy rust. Would be a hard pass from me.

That frame has already been patched. Looks like a professional job. Ask the PO about it

Looks like some of that rubberized coating. If that's what it is, I would definitely look into it more. That stuff is not the best stuff to cover a frame with. Make sure to get some details about the work that was done to the frame.

I’ve been shown evidence by my local WoolWax guy that rubber coating just traps moisture and accelerates rust. From a biased source but he had some compelling samples and photos.

Oh he was definitely right. I've seen it in person. The worst part is that it hides the rust. You won't even know that its rusting, until its too late.
