Resale is one of the main benefits I like about the Toyota brand as a whole, but the Tacoma especially. If you are one that trades trucks every 2-4 years the brands resale makes that a bit easier on the wallet.

Well its's 6:04AM here in the central and it isn't online so clearly I was lied to:rofl:.

Cannot wait for all the crying to begin though, TRD Off Road only available in DCSB (no long bed). Come on all you big babies! Lets hear it!

That’s one of the reasons I’m considering getting a 24, getting a long bed but those options are a sport or pro… (maybe the SR too)

I believe it! Time to burn the website down :bananadead:

Pretty much, they're typically guys who own 2nd or 3rd gen trucks and don't like change. MPG is 19/24 with the 278HP version 2.4L. Interesting if it actually gets 19/24 like the GM twins fail to do so.

So 19/24 with 21 combined vs the current 18/22 with 20 combined...the really gave a lot of extra fuel economy...lol.

And for this...you get a starting price in the mid 30's vs the current $28,600

With the only top price mentioned as the limited trim $54,000....(the current limited trim is 41,355(. you still have 2 more trims to go maybe they were scared to mention the price of?

Well the Pro and TH are not even in production yet so not sure why pricing would be out yet. But Yeah if the Limited is topping out at 54K without the hybrid then those other 2 will be pricey for sure.

The current truck is rated 18/22...some get it some don't, just like the new truck some will get it some will not. If you compare engine size the current 4cyl is rated 20/23.

The limited is also full time 4WD, has venitilated seats, adaptive variable suspension, and many other new goodies.
The basic TRD models would be the most apples to apples for comparing pricing increase.

One problem I see is Toyota is really pushing their parts and add on catalog, allowing top trim features to be fitted on the lower trims (inverter.air compressor etc) which is actually awesome....except that Toyotas business model doesn't actually allow you to option the truck how you want it.....

I think the overlander/hauler/small camper topper et truck better value is the SR Double Cab 4x4 manual. Since all the SR's come with a 6 ft bed and leafs. I personally would rather overload leafs that have to figure out the right coil to put on, not to mention the sway on heavy loaded coil trucks (I had a ram 2500 with coils)

Coils do ride much better though if comfort over function is preferred.

And while the 36,900 price is not great, there is a whole lotta spending left for any off road upgrades.

Hopefully one of these articles or videos will mention some useful info as well, like payload, departure, approach, break over...while they are talking about how much of a wonderful adventure vehicle it is an all.. (I may have missed it also)
