I will say, El Paso County Sheriff doesn't give a crap about enforcing magazine laws, so our gun shops will opening sell those magazines. Not mag kits, but I can buy a fully assembled magazine above 15 rounds anywhere in The Springs.

Hmmm well playing more "parts swapping", this time with my sort of "go to" upper. Decided I want to set it up to use my AEM5 suppressor instead of the SDN-6 it normally runs. So ended up buying a shorter handguard (10.5"). Its on a 14.5" barrel. It ended up being about an inch shorter.....but Im not sure if i like the "look" of it now.

    The old upper

    And the new

My 2¢ is the longer handguard looks better.

Nope, longer handguard looks better. Looks like it was planned vs the short one looking like it was just thrown together.

That's more the way I'm leaning. Doesn't help the AEM5 can is a long guy so gives the funky.....ratio (not sure what you'd call it) of suppressor vs handguard.

I'll probably grab a 13.7" barrel and try that. There's exactly an inch of barrel showing from handguard to rear of the collar. So getting rid of that and a different gas block that doesn't poke out should help

stay with the 13.5 and keep the URGI clone look. Keep the 10.5 for and 11.5 urgi build. Problem solved.

Meh I don't care about a urgi look. And an 11.5 would still be the same issue of not working well with the AEM5.

Also I don't need another 10-12" range upper lol. Already have a few. The 13.5-14.7 range is where I'm aiming for

And who am I really kidding....I'll end up putting the 14.5 back the way it was and build the 13.7 with the shorter handguard....I mean already buying a new barrel and gas...what's a upper receiver to go with them lol

I just got myself an old-school M&P15 Sport (OG, not the II)... time to start buying parts.

Isn't that the one with the slick-side flattop receiver? I always liked those.

1:8 5r melonite barrel. Those are the very first M&P sports and the best barrels. They changed them not long after the release and then carried over the change to the sport 2.

You basically just asked us what model car is this and took a picture of the tire tread...

but if its not branded, kinda looks like the mlok rails on the PSA uppers.
