No, saying a lot of R&D just to get to squeak past epa regs.

Like what Turd was saying, maybe all it need was a 8-10 speed trans with the current V6 to bump up mpgs. Would think burning less fuel would be better for the environment, yes?

I made it pretty clear. You’re just inventing things you think other people are upset about. Why?

Maybe, but you’d still have the old v6 driveability issues because that thing makes torque at hilarious RPM

Am I a getting upset? News to me. Well he is fat, is he not? Not like I am lying. Dunno, seems odd to be head engineer and don’t think he would be very comfortable driving a midsize. He was having trouble showing the cubbies on the Xtra Cab, so that tells me if he (the head engineer) is having trouble, probably not a good design choice.

Plus you’re totally missing the point on the weight thing. He seems like a man of excess, Toyota is going full bore excess with the turbo, which could make it less reliable.

Dunno seems like you just joined to troll. It took me years to get this jaded. :D

Haven’t seen that video, but yes it appeared early in that the 24 OR is on par with the 23 Pro and passes it by far with the lift, sway bar disengage and 33” tire option. Which I’m guessing will be fairly common.

This is classic concern trolling behavior as well.

you’ve invented engineers in fear for their job because of invented outrage over mileage ratings. You invented the idea that “saving the world” was Toyota’s top priority.

none of these things are your own opinions, they’re you stating opinions on behalf of other people who you don’t even know exist.

Depends on what you are looking for in the review. TRDJon is good, Savagegeese is pretty critical...most I have seen so far. Haven't seen any on the Limited yet.

Longwinded by covers some things other don't like fit and finish.

Each performer goes over different emphasis. Some, thankfully, don't tread the same ground they covered previously. Some do. You are going to watch all of them anyway.

I was just going to post that David Koichi does solid, balanced, and mature reviews. He's probably the best source. (my apologies for answering my own question)

Beats me, but pay attention to what country the reviewer lives in since there seems to be some differences between Canadian and U.S. markets that could cause confusion.

I’d almost say I’d accept an MPG decrease in the new powertrain, the entire reason I didn’t buy a 3rd gen was I hated that engine and transmission combo.

I am scratching my head over this Tacoma being estimated to get the same MPG as the Tundra, and it is slightly disappointing, but hopefully it can achieve higher than the estimates in the real world. I don’t think these are EPA numbers either
