I was hoping the mpgs would be better if I'm honest.

For the Sport it should be selectable color accents.

Well I still don’t like the over the top styling or the interior digital stuff, (yeah I’m old) but I’m starting to dig the turbo 4 and the linked rear for ride quality. I figured gas mileage wouldn’t massively improve. I can see an SR5 in the garage.

Press release points of interest that may have answered a lot of speculation...

$54k for the limited and mentioned as top trim so wondering if pro and trail hunter excluded. I’d pay $54k for the the pro.

I dunno, seems like even in the SR you're getting a lot of stuff in that grade.

You are for sure, but it's hard for me to wrap my head around a 35k SR 4wd base.

    That’s basically the same as a 2023 v6 sr 4wd.

No disagreement here, but still hard to fathom for me. I fully admit that this is a me problem haha.

Also I can build a '23 for about 3k less though. Even more if I select some utility packages.

Right, but when you are talking about an entry level model, price is king. 20% higher MSRP is a huge jump.

Configurator is not up, so it's hard to get an actual apples to apples comparison anyways at this point.

I will say that the SR with the MT makes for a very compelling package though. Good power and tons of standard features.

My SR V6 4WD was $33K msrp, so not a bad increase. Though think they cheaped out by ditching the AC. Get a little bit more power, but not enough to make me want to run out and buy one. Probably have an anger fueled coronary every time I tried to open the non-existent clam shell door. :D

Would have really been sweet if they were able to get a little more width out of the bed along with the deeper bedsides.

Since they are saying they will squeak out more payload than the average Tundra on these with the I force max. If the SR 4x4 long bed manual can squeak out 1500-1600 lbs payload for 33/34K that might be a winner for a mid size truck camper rig for me. I like the back seat for storage and dogs, so the double cab is handy. While the coils would be a nice unloaded ride, I think the leafs would be a better (or more easily set up) choice for a heavily laden rig.

It does, be a good bare bones camp rig.

Not sure is the SR is available in the DCLB manual though.

    I think the Forbes article
It's possible that it won't be, I was going off of the Forbes article, hopefully they stick to that configuration.

    From the article
"The base SR comes as an extra cab (two doors, single row of seats) or double cab (four-doors, front-and-rear seats), with the two-door model offering extra Both SR trims come with a 6-foot bed, regardless of cab configuration."

I think the reason on that chart you don't see a 6 ft bed option with the SR is that they are only going to come with the 6ft bed but I could be wrong as well.

Yeh if it's a MT it states it but are all other the AT? Might be. Toyota configurator should clarify. This is why I don't like these 'leaked' specs.

Also states if it is a 6’ bed too. Isnt Toyota changing the name to Crew Max instead of Double Cab since the Access Cab is gone. Yeah, the speculation is getting old, much rather have it straight from the horse’s mouth. The chatter back and forth is mildly entertaining on here though. :D

    @jaxyaks

Think you might have to step up to the SR5 to get the DCLB, looking like no manual. Why I have been looking at the Tundra since the AC is gone. Have to bump up to the DCLB (for easy rear storage access) Taco in SR5 trim, the SR Tundra DC6.5’ bed is going to be within a few grand, I’ll give up some options to get a little more truck.
