Ahh yeah that's a bit far then for EVs. I have a Honda CRV I can sell you cheap that none of your AZ meth tweakers would even steal. Been having naughty thoughts of buying something dumb like a 2015-16 Audi S4 because I haven't bought something dumb in a while.

My wife has a 2020 CRV and the other option is she gets something new and I take her old car.

We had an Audi A3 as a rental while in WI last weekend. It was a fun little car!

I’ve also been having thoughts of buying something dumb but haven’t found anything yet.

@Tigerian has a GRC coming whenever the boat from Japan arrives. It was built a week or so ago

Well now that depends on the condition.
Putting $ into a vehicle to do the things you want vs. Putting $ into it just to keep it running, every month.
At that point it's time to make that auto loan payment.

To be fair, Toyota isnt even giving us the new model spec sheets and whatnot which is annoying AF. Considering all the third party vendors, influencers and aftermarket companies are already getting trucks delivered

I have a 2006 A3, 6 speed manual, APR stage 2 tuned with a lot of stupid go faster mods that I'm getting closer to parting with... Just sayin'. It would scratch that itch for ya.

Thanks for the offer and I hope you get it running again but I'll pass, not quite what I'm after.

The B8.5 S4 only appealed to me due to the fact that it is, very loosely relatively speaking, a more "reliable" Audi than others; also being streetable and inconspicuous for those that aren't in the know (i.e. if I de-badged it and stayed away from flashy appearance mods it would look as boring as an A4). Later models with the sport differential also give it a leg up, and used with decent mileage can be had now for a fair price. Throwing all the boring stuff aside, DSG launch control and all that fun supercharged power on tap to be unlocked by tunes gives me tingles in my jingles. Finding one that hasn't been beat on by mindless degenerates is the challenge. Next hurdle is overcoming the relative small amount of maturity I've gathered as I get older. And the biggest hurdle is overcoming my previous battle scars getting burned by German engineered vehicles.

All that is to say it's better if these things remain daydreams anyways so I can spend more on that Taco and maybe afford a better garage one of these years.

Audis ain't that hard to work on. You just need to add a good set of triple squares and a dozen different types of hose clamps to your tool collection. You also need to be okay with bleeding. Because every time you get near it with a wrench your knuckles will start bleeding. And remember, oil leaks are like German WoolWax that the car applies for you year round.

I have a love/hate relationship with that awesome little death trap. I've learned a lot about car maintenance, repair and performance upgrades from it, which kinda led to me tranforming my stock truck into what it is today.

It's running. I just need to work out an electrical gremlin, possibly related to the ABS system, to stop it from switching into limp mode. Right now it's looking like I'll put the cover back on it for the winter and give it some more attention in the spring.
