They said that the reply to the force flash shouldn't take long, hopefully not. We'll keep following to see if we can help any further. Keep us updated brother!

    Will definitely keep everybody updated.
Been a doozy week for the truck. Sway bar was messed up and in trying to diagnose that noise, found my rear main seal leaking. Now the ECU gets bricked lol.

I’m praying to god the recovery works.

    Tech,

Make sure you send in your VIN and the Seed information.

The “Seed” can be found here…

Click on diagnostics, Then click on "ECU Recovery tool" and you will see the seed information

The quicker they get this the quicker the recovery.

I did send the seed info, but I’ll have to grab the VIN when I get back from work. The ecu recovery page didn’t mention needing to send the vin, unless I missed it!

Got the key to unlock the recovery part of the software. Now my question, is there an updated guide. It looks slighty different from the post on page 1.

ECU Recovery > Then I imagine I’ll see the gen2 force flash button. Click that and it’ll prompt me to select my tune file?

Heading home in roughly an hour and I can try it…fingers cross.

I would ask Zendesk to provide detailed steps to recover. Just me though.

I've asked for instructions. I'll post them here when I get a reply back.

Home now and ready to recover once I know how to exactly.

Did he have any idea why a successful/complete flash would brick an ECU?

Didn’t say anything. Also, no luck :/. My battery voltage is getting low now. Just above 12v.

    That’s what I flashed yes.

I’m gonna have to figure out how to get my battery charging. It’s showing 12.03v now.

Try putting a charger on it and make sure your using current and correct Stock file. I think it should not state stock in it anymore.

I have a charger on it now. Matt said to pull the battery for like ten minutes. So I have the battery disconnected and it charging.
Does anybody have the stock 04B04 (new one with correct identifier) that they can send me. I’m prettty positive the file I have is fine, but to be safe..
