I just saw this. This is not good. More regearing. Give a 25% boost in torque and then take the performance away with a gear change.

Ok. Do you know the other part of this equation? The 8AT gear ratios.

One of the videos said the Manual Transmission kept 4:30 ratio.

It's amazing to me that YouTube has become the authority of things not yet seen.

BTW, the 3.58 will give a bit more MPG when running hwy in whatever gears are OD.

    So there is your 'why'.

You cannot say what the performance change is without knowing the transmission ratios.

Exactly this, 1st gear in 2023 is 3.60. With 2 added gears I could see 1st gear being 4.10 or more.

If it’s the Highlander transmission - 1st gear is 5.52 much lower than existing V6 3.6

Your Google skills are superior, I looked and couldn’t find that. 2 overdrives with 6 being direct?

    .793 and .651 are the 2 overdrives and 6th is 1 to 1.

Thanks for grabbing that. Those MT numbers look like a nice improvement to me.

Yeah, should be good. They’re exactly what I want for my regeared V6. Gonna wait and see if there’s a way I can adapt that trans to my truck. Pretty sure it’s the RC60F and if so, the most that would need to be done would be an input shaft swap. Time will tell.

Looks like the Manual Reverse gear is improved over the 3rd Gen.

MT looks good for first and reverse. 4-5 looks like a big jump but doable.

What is the new tire size diameter for 4G trucks? Same for all trim levels too?

From what I saw, 245/70R17 for SR/SR5, 265/70R17 & 265/65R18 for OR and Sport and probably limited, and then some form of 33's for Trailhunter and Pro.

Supposedly there is an option for 33's on the OR, or you can slap them on yourself. I don't know if that means 285/70R17 or what. I'm curious what the wheel width and offset specs are.
