Am I gonna let the engine with more horsepower and more torque disrespect me? Well, I wouldn't call it disrespecting, I'd just call it math.

Couple things that struck me about that video -

1), I went back and listened carefully to the parts when the mic wasn't stethoscoped to the turbo housing. There's not a hint of asthmatic queefing to be heard from the driver's seat.

2), and I quote..."and if you get a car like this that can tow... How many thousand pounds?" "Up to 6500 in certain trims." "That's what the big trucks used to do in a class above! That's a lot! Most people tow RVs and boats, and those don't weigh more than like 5000 pounds. Who needs a bigger truck!?" :bananadead:

Damn. Those poor guys had to invent reasons to like the fourthie.

I’m OK with a mid size truck for $30,000, I’m not OK with paying full-size truck prices for something that can’t do full-size truck stuff.

Reliability has been awesome by all accounts….but then again it’s never been in a pickup with full armor, rock sliders, front and rear bumpers, winch, 33 to 35 tires, topper, roof top tent, awning, extra battery under the hood, another in the back, fat ass in the drivers seat, possibly another fat ass in the passenger seat, fridge, food , beer, camping shit, cameras and shit for Instagram, (continue list), slogging it through mud, uphill sections, over rocks, etc.

That will be the true test of the new (old) engine for the Tacoma.

I’d be very afraid of Ford if I were you. But Everyone has there own opinions . Toyota has been good to me . Ford and GM not so good. If I had to roll the dice it’s Toyota for me .

The lawnmower? I am not afraid of that thing. It will come in handy if my neighbor gets it, might pay him 20$ to mown my grass.

    Work in progress...
We have a Ford with the 2.7 in our garage and so far, 3 years or so, it's been awesome. The 2.7 in the Ranger, I am gonna at least have to test drive the thing. My wife's Edge ST weights the same as a F150 4door and the Edge ST is fairly quick. The Ranger won't be all wheel drive so traction will probably be the limiting factor in 0-60 time.

That was your takeaway from that screenshot?

I’ll be honest the outside and inside looks of the trucks got me wanting to upgrade. But I think I’ll stick with my supercharged 4.0 for awhile longer, definitely not scared of that 4 banger. I am scared of the hybrid 4 banger though

Went overseas. Didn’t rent one though. They sent them damn things after us with 50’s and 12.7s mounted in the back. Granted they were old school versions. Never had the meh feeling though as an A-10 makes them disappear fairly quick. The Javelin though, that impact makes you do the acid trip “whooooaa”.

Imagine them coming after you with a 50 cal, 13 cup holders, Pro exhaust, and a hood scoop! World isn’t ready for the Tacoma Technical!
